We stopped here for lunch with our 3 children. The decor, layout, etc is beautiful at this restaurant. It was quiet when we arrived and we were seated at a table overlooking the ocean.

We're all vegetarian and we always make a point to check the menu put prior to cisiting a new place. The menu that is on the restaurant website is not what is presented. The options are greatly reduced. Still, we thought there were enough options that we would be ok . . . Unfortunately the main veg options like halloumi wrap, vege burger, pasta, were all unavailable. Never mind, we ordered a veg biryani, mushroom arrancini, bruschetta and pizza for the kids.

Veg biryani was unfortunately tastless. Lacking any flavour or even basic seasoning (salt) was not there.

The arrancini was a strange concotion. The rice ball tasted like it had ketchup mixed through it, and the balls were not fried till crispy, so the outside bread coating was a bit soggy.

Bruschetta was not what we were expecting based on what the traditional dish is, but it was ok. They had ripe mango mixed in with the tomatoes which was nice, however it was a little strange with the addition if the bread, which was not toasted, no dressing or anything to bring the dish together.

Pizza was ok, however having looked back at other reviews where pictures of pizza's have been uploaded, again I feel like we were short changed in this department. The base was slightly underdone in the middle, and again flavour was extremely bland (lacking salt)

We did speak to the wait staff and they were apologetic regarding the food. Service and wait staff were good. Drinks were also good. We had mocktails which were great. However if you are vegetarian, I would suggest you give this...

The food is mediocre, otherwise it would have received 1 star overall. After reading reviews of this restaurant I was really looking forward to it, however I was totally dismayed by the sullen attitude of the waitresses. Even in Darajani Park the food (from what we could see) was served with a smile, something totally lacking at 6 degrees south! We ordered cocktails and a starter and main course at the same time. The starter came first then shortly after the cocktails arrived, no sooner had we finished the starter the plates were whisked away and we were presented immediately with the main course. We then ordered wine which arrived a third of the way through the main course. An extra that had been ordered did not arrive and had to be requested again, that took 8 mins to arrive. All of the above I could possibly forgive had the restaurant been bursting at the seams but in this case only 3 tables were occupied. If you like fast food such as McDonald's then you will like this place, but you won't get the smile as you do at McDonald's from the staff. This is a prime example of " get them in, then process, then get them out! "After paying the bill the receipt and card were virtually thrown back at me,perhaps this could be because I did not leave a tip! In my opinion gratuities are given for good service and as this was totally lacking so was the gratuity. Less than 10 yards away is a restaurant totally opposite, where the service and food cannot be faulted (Beach house bar and...

Beautiful establishment by the ocean. Upon walking up the steps you are greeted by a nice small bar great smells and music fills your ears. I went for dinner and they had a live band/karaoke soloist playing hit after hit. There was a table for 26 people but still room for others to sit. I was greeted and sat right away. Kennedy my server made some suggestions on the menu but it was different then the menus others had posted online. Some similar items but also some had different recipes and prices. I tried their Ice tea cooler and that was nice on a hot night. I should mention the seating area is outside and the have multiple fans pointed at guests to cool them down. I didn't have any issues with flies or mosquitos while eating. The room was spacious enough to not hear each other's conversations either. For a starter I got sweet plantains and they were cooked just right with a decent portion amount. My entree was the BBQ half chicken with coconut rice. This was filling on its own. I didn't get any desserts but I saw others enjoy theirs. The table of 26 had a birthday boy so all of the staff and the band sang happy birthday as they paraded around the table celebrating. I was able to pay by credit card or cash and overall had an amazing night for less than $30 USD for one person. Highly recommend for a...

Come here for the view. They have great sunset views and decent drinks. I was disappointed with the wait staff. They were so accommodating a couple of groups of European tourists so it's understandable that a quiet couple did not get their attention. The European tourists were horrendous, walking all over the place and blocking out the view of the sunset even though we requested the seats with the best view since we had come earlier than the 2 groups. I felt the staff should have addressed it with the group indicating them to be polite to the other customers by viewing from their seats. The drinks were good and I love their cocktail recepies. I was disappointed that I had to ask for the happy hour menu and the waiter reluctantly brought it up after we requested for it. I feel the management needs to train the staff that you get good paying customers through the happy hour so that they can continue the experience into the evening. The food was average at best. We had an appetizer which was too greasy and the margherita pizza which was sweet for some reason. I don't understand how a pizza can be sweet. Most of all I was very disappointed that the waiting staff did not care to address us while the European tourists got so much attention. I wish that attitude would change at some point.

I came here during my visit to santa bar from the US for my birthday. The décor was lovely. The atmosphere was nice and the waiters and servers Were polite and helpful. The prices were excellent. The food was great. My only issue is that I ordered 2 things 1 thinking it was just a soup. When it came out it was like an entire course of food and very large. So I told them I could not eat the 2nd dish and to cancel it. However they made me in and insisted that I had to take it anyway and pay for it. Only 5 minutes after I ordered it. This was unusual to me as I'm from the USA and if you order something and change your mind they don't make you take it. Even if they begin to cook it. They just give the food to the servers or the cook or save it in case they have another order that's similar. So that's the only thing I was not happy about. I am the wasting money on something I didn't even eat. Of the that the place was lovely. They were playing a lot of American and Jamaican music. Being in my 1st time in Africa I really was looking forward to hearing local or African music as a visitor.
