Zan island taxi and tours — Local services in Shangani

Before going to Zanzibar, I was thinking how to quickly move from my hotel in Kiwengwa to historical Stone Town. I was afraid mainly about safety. However thanks to TripAdvisor, I found Mr Othman's company. I wrote him a mail to get some details. I was shocked when I saw a response almost immediately. Everything was set using mail / WhatsApp about week before our arrival.

In that day we were not in hurry because we knew 'pole pole' style. We were shocked because Mr Othman was even before departure time. Entire road we were talking about general things, about Zanzibar, way of living, politics and even about voodoo. Mr Othman is very chatty person with very good English. After 7hrs we should go back. Mr Othman was in said place again before the pickup time.

I know that Zan Island Tours is organizing also excursions but we didn't have a chance to check it out - for sure we will, when we will be next time in Zanzibar.

If you want need a transport, don't think - write to Mr Othman! He's very reliable person! He's prices are very reasonable with perfect quality-price ratio. He has also very comfy car with AC. I saw for first time, car floor mats...

I honestly have 0 complaints with this service. My hotel was charging too much for a pick up from the airport and I decided to find cheaper. I went online and found Zan Island which charged half the price. I reached out and Mr. Othman was wonderful. He was quick with the responses which was important at the time bc I was urgently booking and he was patient with my questions. I had several logistical questions and he didn't make me feel like I was bothering him or asking too much. There's a secure payment link which was cool! We drove with Miraj ! He was awesome as well. He was always on time, taught me kiSwahili on our long drives and explained about culture and way of life. I would definitely book again and I would definitely...

Probably the best person (Othman) and the best professional transfer and tour service we’ve met on Zanzibar. He really saved our holidays. We had a bad hotel experience and had to leave very early morning. Othman responded my message at 6:30 am and did his best to help us with our transfer. Because he earned our trust, we asked him to organize all our tours and transfers on Zanzibar. The most amazing is that he returned cash all our money back because our planned safari trip was cancelled by the flight company. Honest, respectful, good character and professional.
