This place is now located on the top floor of the post office. Getting in can be a bit tricky but just ask locals around the post office how to get in. The fried chicken burger was okay. It could have been great if they would take the time to drain the cabbage longer before spooning it onto the sandwich. As it was there was way too much purple juice soaking the burger bun and making quite a mess on my fingers. The extra juice really didn't help the flavor so why not strain that a bit? My wife ordered the OG box with shrimp. She loved it and the taste I had from it was very fresh and quite yummy. The brownies were refrigerated and were rich and tasty but I would recommend asking them to heat it for you first. There is a great view from their balcony onto the street below for...

Had a great dinner at Yeoyum. Off a main road into an alley next to the post office, then another alley and up some stairs.

The menu is focused, with their OG Box containing a choice of protein (shrimp, chicken, halloumi nuggets, etc) and a heap of extras including a slaw, coconut rice, pineapple salsa, a ‘crunch’ and sauce. Good portions and filling while also tasting super fresh with the contrasts of spices and the tang of the slaw and salsa.

Also a good selection of starters and loaded fries. Had the Korean chicken fries and they were epic.

Yeoyum shares a balcony with the adjoining The Box restaurant, so if you want a beer or cocktail, their waiters will come over and serve you as well.

Credit card...

Big recommendation!! I came to Yeoyum at the weekend and so glad I found it (it’s a bit off the street and you need to go up through a courtyard). There is such a nice variety of fresh tasty food, so we ordered different plates and shared (haloumi bites, cauliflower sides, shrimp box, bang bang chicken salad). Each were full of flavour and unique ingredients I wouldn’t think to add myself (who would have thought mint and haloumi worked so well… I’ll be dreaming of those bites for years to come…) It was also a really nice atmosphere with some breeze on the balcony. The staff were friendly and we got chatting to the owner and even got to meet her gorgeous baby daughter! Not to be missed if...

Overall the food was good and the atmosphere was great. It was a challenge to find, it's actually down an alley (follow a sign from the street) and then you need to go upstairs at the next turn (no sign). We had the cauliflower salad which had a nice kick and ok flavor and cauliflower snacks which were a bit flavorless. We have the loaded fries with the recommended sauce and it was delicious. Of course we finished with the chocolate brownie which as chewy, soft and rich. The service was a bit slow, but we aren't in any rush. Overall a nice start to the Stonetown Zanzibar visit!
