When I walked in, I asked the server if they could do a small portion of Khao Soi as I’m already really full but just want to try the authentic taste. I tried to ask what is the price (because Khao Soi is not on the menu), I didn’t get any response. I asked a few times in different phrases but the server seems didn’t get it - I thought it’s a language barrier so I just let it be. Attached is the small portion I received. When I got the bill, I asked again if I was charged the full price - the answer is yes, then I PAID the full price. I’m not happy about this though so I ask if I can provide the feedback to the manager - there was a gentleman who was kind enough to explain to me that all size are same price, and I tried to explain to him that in that case you should let me know in advance. Then there is a super rude lady came out and start to yell at me, and she kept yelling/chasing at me for payment, but lady, I already paid.. this attitude and experience is very unexpected and intolerable. She was literally non-stop yelling the same thing 5 times and I’m not exaggerating here at all. For this whole time I was not planning to ask any money back as I know it has been a difficult 2 years in the old city. But in the end, this place really doesn’t deserve any support or care. We stopped in for lunch yesterday and the service was quick and the food delicious, and the pricing is very reasonable. We got the shrimp cakes, the panang curry, and the pad Thai. I went out of my comfort zone with the panang curry and it was delicious! My husband enjoyed his pad Thai as well. The shrimp cakes were our least favorite of what we tried as they were a little dry, but the service and entrees were excellent. Don’t pay attention to the review with complaints that someone ordered off the menu and didn’t get what they expected. I have never heard of a restaurant allowing you to order a small sample of a menu item for a lesser price, so I don’t know why you would expect to get that from a foreign land from a local who doesn’t understand what you are asking, and it’s incredibly indecent to leave a 1-star review to a business that has suffered from Covid closures for the last 2 1/2 years just because they didn’t give you a discount (on a menu item that was probably no more than $3...

We ordered the panang curry, green curry, sweet and sour pork, the stir fry basil pork, and the spring rolls. I have to say the Panang curry was the best and very delicious. The flavour was strong and very creamy. The basil pork was very good as well. The spring rolls were fried fresh. We very much enjoyed our meal here.

I saw the review complaining about smaller portion and charging full price. The lady must have some loose wiring in her brain. Who'd ask for a portion that has to be prepared separately and to pay less than the default price. Can we go to McDonald's and ask for 5 fries and only pay for those 5? What water was she drinking?
