Pinto phochana — Restaurant in Chiang Mai Province

The atmosphere was lovely, and the food was beautifully presented with flowers on the plates. It’s clear that the family puts a lot of care into the restaurant.

However, there were a few issues that need attention. Drinks were often delayed, with some never arriving at all. We had to remind the staff, and when they finally came, it was an hour after we’d ordered. Appetizers also arrived quite late, sometimes even after the main course.

The food was served by children who didn’t speak English, so we often had no idea what we were being given.

One significant concern was the smoothies – they’re all made in the same blender without being cleaned between orders. If someone had a banana smoothie before you, your drink would likely have banana bits in it, which isn’t ideal for hygiene.

Nothing tasted bad, but this was probably the worst Thai omelette & stir fried veg I've had in Thailand. Will be sticking to hole-in-the-wall places from now on if I want good Thai food. The omelette was undercooked so it was just like a very oily Western-style omelette. The fried egg was overcooked so the yolk was totally hard. The stir fry sauce wasn't good either. I am also concerned because some of the pork in the omelette wasn't cooked all the way through. Will edit my review if this proves to be an issue. When I mentioned the undercooked meat, they discounted the 65 thb dish to 50 thb and the server was kind and apologetic and said that the pork was fresh,...

We arrived at 10 pm and the place was empty. Some people arrived after us and got their food quicker then us, so we asked and they completely forgot our order. We waited a total of 35 min for a Tom kha and a Panang curry. The rice was totally rubberized and could not even form a ball (see picture). The Panang curry was a really small portion but was ok to eat. The Tom Kha had not a single edible vegetable in it and was bland. If I cooked something like that at home my guests would feel offended I guess.
