Krua Dabb Lob — Restaurant in Chiang Mai Province

It was busy when I arrived. There was a small queue. I didn't have to wait more than 5 minutes, which is fine. The service was very good despite it being very busy. My beer came quickly and then the khao soi not long afterwards. It was a little spicy for me but I'm a wimp when it comes to spicy. It was very good. The bill for a large Chang and Kaho soi was only 125 Baht which is very good value for money. They also have free wifi. The password is on the cover of the menu.

I asked the waitress about the opening hours and I updated them. It might be worthwhile for the next person to rate this place...

I love a good khaosoi and this may have been one of the better ones I've had. The soup had the right balance of savoury and fragrant flavours that it's addictive, and everything just came together perfectly. I slurped up every last bit of the curry soup which also is slightly thicker and has a grainy texture that I enjoy, a sign of a rich blend of spices. Definitely a hidden gem of a place for khaosoi among a sea of many khaosoi specialty restaurants in the city.

And such a great price too. I would definitely come all the way here just for the khaosoi. To think I randomly stumbled...

I really enjoyed this restaurants simple but authentic Thai food. The shrimp Pat Thai on point with local taste. The pork fried rice is the second best I've tried in Chiang Mai, which is to say very good. The stir-fried veggies have the smokey -- just shy of charring --flavor from a high heat wok. Service was quick and responsive, with multilingual support including mandarin, the queue was way less than another famous place up the street, and the price for a full meal for 2 is less than 200 baht per person. It is open to a busy street, which is convenient but noisy....
