In 2024, We took advantage of Chuseok(Korean thanks giving holidays) to go on a 5-day, 4-night trip to Chiangmai. This is the restaurant I visited during my first trip to Chiangmai in 2023. I have fond memories of that time, so I made a reservation on Facebook and visited again. (In 2023, I went to a small restaurant nearby for dinner and was impressed by the live music at a cool-looking restaurant on the side of the road, so I booked dinner the very next day.) In this 2024 visiting, It was a very enjoyable time for about 2 hours, and it was nice to be able to experience excellent dishes. Instead of ordering dishes from the menu, we pre-booked today's chef recommendations, and each dish was really delicious. In particular, the first main dish, the scallop dish, was made with cheese and butter, and the last toppings were seaweed and gold leaf, and it was a fantastic dish that was very delicious for me as an old man, at the same time, young ladies clapped their hands and loved special scallop dish. The restaurant manager and all the staff were so friendly In order to make a memorable photo for my adolescent daughter and young ladies, I invited Kanta, a talented Chiangmai photographer. I asked the singer and restaurant manager if it was okay for my daughter Maddy to sing. They gave me permission, and it was a great memory for my daughter, Maddy. If you want to have a good time in the city, I highly recommend you to visit it.

Super place. Very happy that Chef Tao's (a new restaurant) has opened in the previous location of The Glass House. It's a really nice space so I'm happy to go back there, especially to find such excellent Thai food. Tao him self is a really personable guy, happy to talk with customers and visit. He's a properly trained chef that has worked in 5 star restaurants and now is opening this place for himself. The food was GREAT. I mean it. GREAT. I had Pad Ga Prao (ผัดกระเพรา) the most basic Thai dish you can get, and it was some of the best if not the best Ga Prao I've had. My friend had Green Curry (แกงเขียวหวาน) and reported it was also excellent. The prices are not 30 baht, but this is high end Thai food, not from a little shop but from a proper restaurant. I look forward to going back and trying more. My friend said he'd like to try every dish on the menu!

The food average at best here, which is a little disappointing for the location and simple fact that it’s Thai food by a chef in Thailand. I had a few dishes, the morning glory which was the only thing I ate, also the spring rolls and fried squid. I don’t eat meat so I can’t speak to the dishes with meat. I can say you’re paying for the atmosphere as the restaurant has a nice layout to hang and sit, to enjoy the cool evenings. The servers are great. The food is subpar and really way too expensive. My bill for the 3 items and water was near 600 baht. For that cost I’d expect to love my food. I honestly didn’t even finish anything but the morning glory. There was so much food I left uneaten.

Chef Rage.. Needing to get my blood sugar up ,i ordered an expensive fruit Salad and clarifying with the waiter of limited English that i was getting it in a melon bowl, I was bought after 15 mins a meager plate of fruit salad with a sauce, which after adding I discovered it was greenish mayonnaise. (Herbs and honey ) I said I wasn't happy and was prepared to pay 200 bhat thou i could get one for 60. 'chef Tao' came out and told me the melon was out of season which i said i should have been told as I put considerable effort to make sure i was getting the advertised dish, yelled at me, twice threatened to call the police, smashed his fist several times on the counter, tried to justify his sauce, was so aggressive his staff restrained him. I am woman of 69 and argued back as I was so outraged at his ill manners and downright greed and inability to provide his advertised dish The beautiful surroundings show nothing of this ego manic whose...

The restaurant profiles itself as being more high-end. A big picture of the chef is on the outside and prices reflect this. It's mostly tourists who ate here when I was there. I am hesitant to say the quality reflects this. When I came in I was greeted right away and they made sure I got a ventilator for cool air, which was great. Expected some water for an establishment like this. The curry and salad I had were tasteful and rich with vegetables and meat. However the salad showed cashew nuts and they served peanuts instead. I also don't get the pre-made tables; the road is next to the restaurant so it's dusty. Would suggest to make the tables when guests arrive instead. Furthermore, I came by myself and instead of taking the other pre-made cutlery and plates away, they just let them there which was kind of weird. All in all I think there is room for improvement in order to justify the...
