Choei Cafe & Bistro — Restaurant in Chiang Mai Province

Ordered from here several times during my visit.

The restaurant is clean, well-lit, and air-conditioned with trendy decor and many food options on the menu (noodles, rice, seafood, starters/appetizers, spaghetti, steak, and more). Staff is very welcoming. Service is excellent.

I ordered the chicken green curry with roti (starter) for 120 baht. It's a soup and they make it spicy level 2, but I requested not spicy. Another day, I tried the stir fried broccoli w/shrimp (200 baht) and stir fried chicken with garlic (120 baht). A third time I had the multigrain wok fried brown rice w/cashews (110). Each time with a side of roti (30). Roti is flaky, but drenched in toooo much oil. Even when I request little oil, they still put entirely too much oil.

Just had our dinner at 5 plus just now. We are a family of three. My son, 6 years old, loved the dishes there. I ordered crab fried rice with crispy fried sunny-side-up. It was scrumptious. The coconut slushy is not so sweet while retaining it's young coconut flavor. It is a halal restaurant with friendly staff and great menu. I loved the creamy and cheesy French fries too. The strawberry puree that topped the cheesecake is not too sweet and it compliments the cake instead. The cafe has a cosy setting and very comfy for young kids and toddlers too. This has been part of our regular morning coffee routine while here in Chiang Mai. They have a 7:30-9am early morning happy hour special for 30baht for hot coffee drinks and 35baht for iced coffee drinks. A quick stop in to get our morning iced coffee for take away starts off the day of exploring on the right foot. The service is friendly and quick.
