Curated Matcha Tea House // Serene Ambience // A go-to place for Matcha Enthusiasts
Concept: 5/5 A modern-day traditional matcha house. Well executed interior, ambience and a Japanese garden that was meticulously cared for. (Also designed by a Japanese landscape designer)
Food/Drinks: 4/5 Great selections with well-explained menu (if you’re tea nerd then you’ll definitely enjoy it) A decent variety of flavor profiles to pick from.
Matcha: 5/5 Ceremonial grade, contemporary grade and organic options. Can be done it modern styles, lattes, affogato and traditional koicha, usucha (+ pairing with wagashi) *Those micro-foam! It’s not easy to find a matcha place (in Thailand) that able to execute this whisking technique.
Wagashi: 4/5 On the sweeter side and texture was not as smooth compared to the great ones in Japan, no hints of fragrance from the sugar used, but overall it was still enjoyable.
Loose Leaf Tea: 5/5 Decent selections and great for value (you pay around +THB80 more for an UNLIMITED water refill! And the amount of tea leaves given per pot was easily 4-5grams so you can go on for more than 5 rounds with the tea taste staying flavorful.
Mont Blanc Cake: 4/5 The chestnut and Chantilly cream texture and taste were on point. Just right amount of rum in the sponge. The sponge could be more moist.
Also have interesting options for non-tea beverages.
Service: 4/5 Attentive and courteous. There’s a person going around with a ‘shoe stick’ to make sure that all the guest’s shoes were aligned neatly (tatami area) at all times. That’s cute! All the staff had decent level of knowledge on the menu but might not seem the most experts on tea as compared to those smaller owner-run tea house.
Value for Money: 5/5 (THB600+ for 2 matcha, 1 sencha and 2 sweets)
🌝Overall, this is definitely a go-to place for any Japanese tea enthusiast in Thailand. Relaxing ambience with great service. Would definitely...

Read moreCame here to get my matcha fix and was pleasantly surprised by the quality. After having come from Japan and South Korea It is definitely not the same, nor up to their standard, but it still did surprise me.
I ordered the matcha roll and a yomobashi matcha latte and wasn't disappointed. As a small treat I also got the matcha affogato which was of normal quality.
The cake had a strong matcha flavour and another layer of more oozing'ish matcha inside next ti the cream. As for the icecream, that cut beautifully through the strong matcha flavour in the bowl. The ice-cream was however already melting a bit when it got served.
The place looks aesthetically pleasing, definitely many Japanese influences and they have all products available to make your matcha. Just be aware, nearly everything is Japanese, yet some of the products are also Korean.
Service wise the staff looks clean and cut and proper to work there. Yet they sometimes walk away and that leaves the desire if you want to order something, you might have to wait a while for one of them to come back or just stand up and signal one.
Like I said, the quality cannot be compared to Japan and South Korea, yet for what I was expecting to get in Thailand they deserve...
