Kad Kafé Restaurant at Shangri-La Chiang Mai — Restaurant in Chiang Mai Province

I went for the Sunday Brunch buffet which is priced at approximately 1400 baht per person. I was extremely disappointed by the selection and variety of foods available, especially when compared to before. The food options and quality definitely should be much better, especially since it is so expensive.

The seafood, which is supposed to be the highlight, was extremely hard to open, and didn't seem very fresh. When we asked the staff to open 6 crab pincers for us, they came back with only two.

The pasta station was pretty good, they have a variety of sauces to choose from.

For the BBQ station, the lamb steak and foie gras were pretty good. The plating for the foie gras was beautifully arranged.

There was also a Japanese sushi & sashimi station, but the variety was also less than before.

The desserts, specifically tiramisu, was really good. The chocolate lava wasn't very good. The exterior was very soggy, but the lava itself was ok.

The place seemed severely understaffed, especially after they transitioned to accommodate for COVID. Customers would have to wait for each staff to prepare our food, when in other times, we would have picked out our own food.

In conclusion, I probably would not come back because quality of the food is not worth the...

I am loyal member of Shangarila circle. I am served with two portions of “ root in nature” 3-course dinner at this KAD cafe. Beyond my imagination of the poor food quality ,we guess the food is just “leftover” or fully taking use of breakfast material, the porridge no taste, the dian sum is just reheat of frozen food, the fried chicken noodle is hard to chew, the meat roll is tasteless, and the desert of coconut syrup with mango cube is so artificial sweet. We cannot feel any 5 star standard, even it cannot compare with street food. we cannot feel any passion or attitude that chef and manger put into their service to client. we just feel it is a waste of my time to spend more than 1 hour in this restaurant, we should have taken some local street food instead. It is my nightmare experience in shangarila restaurant ever

Our stay was amazing, the staff made the experience by being so helpful, polite and caring. There was always someone to ask for advice and the concierge were always on hand to offer advice on what to do/ where to go and they always did their upmost to help and be extremely welcoming and accommodating to every need.

The staff at breakfast were lovely and constantly ensuring we had everything we needed. Especially the team making coffee and hot drinks.

The lifeguards at the pool were also lovely and helpful.

Overall, the staff made our experience what it was by being so friendly, welcoming and always expressing an interest in how our holiday was going, offering any advice and ensuring our every need was catered...
