I could write praise on this place for ages, but I'll try keep it short. Or not.
The owners and staff are fantastic, accommodating and care about the customer. They take feedback well and aim to better themselves. I gave feedback about the beef burger being a bit dry (literally the only thing there was an "issue" with) and the next week i came back to see they were juicier and better than ever.
The atmosphere is vibrant, colourful and great for a place out with friends or a quick bite to eat.
The prices are market average, which is more than affordable, but considering the quality, it's a steal.
Now, THE FOOD.
Firstly, the fries. An amazing and flavourful choice of super fries, that are crafted in such a manner that nearly every fry is affected by the toppings. The issue with so many places is that only the top layer is catered for, then you're left with over half the fries being untouched by the toppings you ordered. Here, near no fry is left untouched. Big props on that.
Secondly, I love sauce. I'm a saucy man. And the owner has perfected this wonderfully tasty and tangy burger sauce which tickles the taste buds in all the right ways.
Thirdly, and the main point here, is the chicken. I'm focusing on the actual chicken, and the Nashville selection of their wonderful choice options. I have yet to experience more, but I will.
The chicken is tender. I mean, the way I would want to be loved by my significant other tender. And the wings, perfectly crispy on the outside so that I still hear that crunch I'm my dreams, right before my teeth sinking into that tender and delicious chicken.
And that Nashville style? I'm not American, but I felt American pride while eating that. It must be from Tennessee, because that chicken there is the only ten I see. Wonderful flavour spice balance. And that Nashville burger? As a burger, it was perfectly blended and balanced out. The chicken was spread out well enough that there weren't too many awkward bread gaps, the bun was perfectly sized with just the right amount of toastedness, and it was, and say it with me...juuuuicy.
I respect everything about this...
Read moreFood was great. HOWEVER, if a table runs an order, food MUST arrive together and not 15minutes apart one to the other, especially if they ordered the same thing. Ridiculous how, while waiting for the second item, they delivered an item to someone who was already eating and another to a table who probably preordered, but NOBODY was there yet (I am sorry for whoever had to eat that cold chicken and fries). We ordered 2 chicken and waffle and a soda, for the record. Not much choice for drinking unfortunately, and considering the food they serve, I believe it should consider a wider option of beverage than just soda, lemonade, water. Also the place was cold, aircon set at 22degrees is a bit too chilly. Confusing that you get served two plasticised menus, but if you have to order you will have to do so on their online menu, which does not match completely (for example on their online menu they do not give you any chance to decide the cooking style of the chicken for the chicken and waffle, but such option is on the card menu). Teething issues I hope, but if I had to solve only one of these I would work on the kitchen efficiency and make them work on serving the food together for each table. It is common sense but in Chiang mai they are not the first establishment which I noticed the lack of. The aforementioned are now closed, hopefully this one will tweak a few things and stay open, cause it would be a shame because the food is...
Read moreThe food was superb and they really know how to do chicken. Everything was cooked just right and packed with flavor. The highlight for me was the corn ribs. It was my first time trying them and they turned out to be amazing, crispy on the outside and full of taste. Definitely something different and memorable.
The prices were also really fair and they had some great deals going on which made the whole meal feel worth every baht. It is the kind of place where you feel like you are getting both quality and value at the same time. Another thing I appreciated was that it is run by Muslims which you don’t see too often so everything is halal. That was nice for a change and I had confidence in the food.
Cluck also has a steady stream of people coming in which says a lot about how popular and consistent the food is. It is clear people know this is a spot for good chicken. Overall I would say it is one of those places you should definitely try if you are...
