River View Bar Chiang Mai — Restaurant in Chiang Mai Province

I recently dined at the River View Bar in Thailand, and it was an unforgettable experience. The food was delicious and arrived quickly, making the evening even more enjoyable. I ordered the shrimp pineapple fried rice and fried shrimp balls. Each dish came with a unique sauce that paired perfectly, enhancing the flavors beautifully.

The shrimp in my pineapple fried rice could have been seasoned a bit more, but everything else was spot on. The fried shrimp balls were crispy and flavorful, a true delight.

The highlight of my meal was the lychee blossom drink. It was a 10/10, from its exquisite taste to its perfect aesthetic.

It's a cosy little hotpot/shabu place (not bbq) on the Ping River. Expect to pay around 400 per head including drinks because it's a bit more expensive than your run of the mill shabu and it is NOT all you can eat. You order each dish individually but they do have 'sets'.

You see the food on our table? That cost about 600 baht and then drinks + a couple of little dishes made it nearly 800 baht. I think it's a fair deal.

It gets really busy so book ahead or come before 6pm.

Bring mosquito spray if they like you :)

Keeps getting better and better. Since my last visit there is more food options and better service. Make sure you come early if you are driving because car parking is scarce but scooter...

Location is wonderful, next to the river. You can sit inside and outside. It is a small walk from the main street (if your hotel is closeby) or a taxi will do Atmosphere is superb, Chiang Mai at night, nice warm breeze, live music, see the boats sail by Value for money is excellent, cannot be better.
