CASH ONLY. This is a fusion type place. It’s definitely geared for western visitors or people who are looking for a western experience if that makes sense. Food was Thai style and good but it was not authentic and that is ok. It is very conveniently placed right behind the hotel my partner and I were staying at (Kodchasri which I highly highly recommend- amazing staff! I ordered spring rolls that came with peanut sauce, yummmm. I ordered something else but that dish was no interest to any of us. I forgot to take a picture of the lover’s dish but his was just ok. What is nice is that you can choose the type of protein that comes in your noodle dish! I was able to choose tofu in my noodle dish. We personally stuck to water this night but the cocktails on people’s tables look delightful. The staff was friendly. We witnessed a couple who did not see the cash only sign (easy to miss to be honest) and had to forgive out another way to pay. The server had them try the cash app but that was a struggle. Then I think Venmo ended up working for them? Moral of the story- have plenty of cash on you when going out to eat. Most places are cash only, if not all.

Walked in for lunch because of all the reviews that rated it so highly. The store was quite nice with an open design, very clean and welcoming. Service was quick as you would expect from a store of their reputation. The wait staff were very helpful and well mannered, more that happy to help you selecting food items. I ordered a few dishe and some sticky rice. Everything tasted nice but I personally felt that some of the flavours were dumbed down a bit for western tastebuds. No issues with the food except 1 of the dished I ordered did make me feel a bit queasy as there was a bit of creaminess in the dish that seemed out of place. Either that or it did not pair well the spicy papaya salad I ordered. Everything besides that though was fine.. Great food but a bit pricey compared to the local restaurants, definitely catering to the tourist crowd and $$$. The whole restaurant was simply full of tourist, If you're looking for authentic Thai food I'm not sure if this is the place to go. The whole restaurant was geared to serve tourist so I'm sure the dishes were tweaked to cater to their customer base.

Advice to all customers here: check the bill closely. It seems the waiters wirte the check just by their memories. I ordered the chicken tom yam soup last night. I remembered its was 175 Baht but the check only written "tom yam soup $225". I checked the menu first and then I asked the waiter. He told me that I ordered the shrimp tom yam soup. I said "no, I ordered the chicken". Then he asked the waiter who ordered for me. She said " I asked you what would you like to add in the soup, you choosed the shrimp.", and saw me as a racketeer. The truth is SHE DIDN'T ASK ME ANYTHING! I ordered it by MYSELF! Because I'm ALLERGIC TO SHRIMPS! I am alert to everything I order and I eat ! But I just insisted that "No, I ordered the chicken, and you gave me the chicken soup. I didn't eat any shrimp in the soup." So they went back to the kitchen and check again. Finally proved that I was right. Until then they admitted the mistakes. 50 Baht is little money I can afford it. But I can't allow this kind of "fraud". If I didn't remember the price or I didn't look closely, maybe I would pay the bill. Because they don't write down the flavor you choose on the check. Besides, they suspected me in the first moment instead of checking themselves. I forgot I took the photos, but maybe even if I show the photos to them at that time, they would say the shrimp is hidden in the soup. I don't know. I ordered the tofu poh pia sod (150 baht), chicken tom yam soup (175 baht) and chicken phad thai (175 baht), the total price including 10% service charge is 550 baht. Two stars for the musician and the atmosphere. Food is normal. Bad service. Not going anymore.

Visited based on a review of Dutch backpackers. Look, atmosphere was great. Very OK live music, noticed only western ppl, but ok. Staff very friendly and helpful. Kids ordered burger and pasta - no complaints there. We ordered Raad Na, Gai Rue Gung Tod Sauce Makam, Tom kha kai. The Tom kha kai was ok, but missed the freshness of herbs and spices we love so much in Thai food. The other two dishes reminded us of Dutch Chinese food - a lot of sugar and (corn) starch to make thick and super sweet sauces. No spices, no fresh herbs - not even the taste of fresh garlic. Just a super lot of sweet. Again, not bad - but not at all what you expect in Thailand. Would even not be surprised if they used Ve-Tsin - but cannot be sure about that. Even looked up the recipes of the latter two dishes on a few sites - to be sure I was not expecting to much. But really think this restaurant caters to much to western taste - not only leaving out the hot spices, but a lot more. Had a nice experience, but mediocre food.

Went for dinner on our first night in Chiang Mai. We called in the afternoon to try and pre book a table, but they said all bookable tables had been reserved so we could just walk in. And actually when we arrived, the place was busy but there were a number of free tables both in the pretty courtyard and inside. I am vegetarian so was thrilled at the level of choice on their menu. I had the Papaya salad which was huge, and delicious but also spicy. I also tried the Tofu Khao Soi, which was yummy although lacked any veggies in them. Again, a big portion. My partner had the sausage starter which was large and he enjoyed that but wasn’t so keen on his main of chicken green curry. The service was ok, considering they were busy. Full of tourists more than locals. Prices were also considerably higher than other places we’ve eaten. But in my book, it’s well worth it to have such a great choice for vegetarians, and hoping to come back to have the veggie Pad Thai!

Having been to Thailand more than 15 times, I have eaten a lot of Thai food. To be honest, I am an expert Thai food eater. Before I travel to a new destination in Thailand or even a destination that I frequently travel too, I always do plenty of research. I target the finest restaurants and finest and most authentic local dishes. Then I book. I always book if I can. I am glad I did as this place is full now and we have a table of 6 on the middle of a beautiful teak house. Hands down, Dash is the best Thai food that I have ever eaten....... Which makes it the best food I have ever eaten..... This is the hole in one on all 18 holes experience. The food is spectacular, the service is spectacular, the ambiance is spectacular. We drank Lao beer while we ate the most amazing Northern Thai food. I am so overwhelmed by the quality of the food and the overall experience that I am writing the review while before we start on the cocktails and I get emotional..
