Another World — Restaurant in Chiang Mai Province

In Chiangmai there are countless places to eat and drink but Another World is something really special. You can see as soon as you sit down why this place is so popular, and that is because it is run by a beautiful, hospitable, friendly family. When we arrived all the tables were full...so we sat down on the couches and ordered a drink....this place instantly relaxes you, the atmosphere is so chill. The cocktails were amazing, nice and strong. When a table became available we were quickly seated and we ordered some food....they have a nice menu to choose from but because the Banana tree curry had sold out I chose the Pineapple curry and hubby chose Pad Krapow and of course more cocktails. The relaxing sounds of Angus and Julia Stone playing in the background made us smile and reminisce and the food was brought to our table fast, and it was so delicious, we enjoyed our meals very much. We could have sat there all night. It was that inviting and chill. It's definitely one of the most memorable places we've eaten in Thailand, and we will be raving about Another World to everyone. We can't wait to see you again when we come for our next visit to Thailand from New Zealand. Please come and eat and drink at Another World...its incredible!!!! Totally recommend! I recently visited this beautiful restaurant in the old town, and I was truly impressed by the overall experience. The ambiance is fantastic, with a relaxed and inviting vibe that makes you feel comfortable right away. The interior is beautifully designed, blending old-town charm with a modern touch that creates a cozy, yet elegant atmosphere. There was a great energy without it feeling overly crowded or busy.

The food was absolutely amazing. Every dish we ordered was thoughtfully prepared, and the flavors were incredible. The ingredients tasted fresh, and each plate was presented with attention to detail. We tried a few different items, and each one was better than the last. The papaya salad was the best papaya salad I have ever had.

Service was friendly, which added to the chill, laid-back atmosphere. It’s clear that the staff genuinely cares about providing a great dining experience, and it shows in the way they handle even the smallest details.

Overall, it was a wonderful experience. This restaurant is a gem in the old town, perfect for anyone looking for great food, a lovely atmosphere, and a chance to unwind. We left feeling fully satisfied and can’t wait to return. Highly recommended for anyone...

Another World is an exceptional restaurant in Chiang Mai that everyone should visit at least once. The owners are incredibly friendly and speak fluent English (Ian is from England), the ambiance really feels like another world compared to other restaurants, and most importantly, the food here is superb. Today was my first night in Chiang Mai so I ordered the local specialty: Khao Soi (with chicken) and an orange smoothie. The Khao Soi was without a doubt the best meal I've had in Thailand so far. The curry is silky smooth and very flavorful. The heterogeneity of the boiled noodles in the soup and the fried noodles on top give the dish a delectable combination of textures. The dish also comes with pickled greens, onions, limes, and a house-made chilli oil on the side that you can add to your tastes. The orange smoothie was made with fresh oranges and the natural fruit flavor was very refreshing. I also got a little cup of strawberry ice cream for 20 baht. The meal costed a reasonable 250 baht and was more than worth the money. I've heard from another customer (the live band) that the Pad Thai is also really good, so I will be returning tomorrow to try...
