Paris Restaurant — Restaurant in Chiang Mai Province

Friends invited us to dine at Paris. There was traditional French food as well as Thai food available. I had steak frits - a favourite of mine at French restaurants, my partner had beef bourguignon. We both thought it odd that the beef came with pasta. My commented that it wasn't very good beef bourguignon. I liked the steak frits, it was cooked exactly how I asked for it to be cooked - rare to medium. The owner of the restaurant would interrupt our conversion to talk French with our friend. The rest of us didn't speak French. This happened several times and made for an unpleasant dining experience. The owner obviously has problems with his more successful neighbor! Since there are limited parking spaces in the alley, I parked my motorbike to the side of his restaurant, which was closed and therefore did not need parking spaces for guests! I was quickly and very rudely asked to park where I was a guest. When I replied that I shouldn't complain so much, the restaurateur immediately came out onto the street, stood a few centimeters in front of me and asked what I wanted! I wonder how he would react to a complaint about his food, even in such a threatening manner?

The service is quick and amazing The restaurant is run by a lovely couple and the food hits the spot, As a French budget travellers we rarely allow ourselves to enjoy French food as the prices always begin at 350-400 baht and a glass of wine is usually around 200 But this lovely restaurant allowed us to have amazing portions and amazing food for such a good price and the glass of wine is only 110 baht The food is really yummy the vinaigrette is just like at home, we really recommend this place to any French person missing home or to anyone wanting to try authentic French foods for a quarter of the price you would get it in France !
