A Refreshing Oasis in Chiang Mai: FRUITURDAY
Nestled in the heart of Chiang Mai, FRUITURDAY is a hidden gem that effortlessly combines vibrant flavors with a laid-back, lively atmosphere. This charming smoothie shop is not just a place to grab a drink but a destination to relax, recharge, and enjoy the small joys of life.
The standout for me? Their mango smoothie with sago. Perfectly blended to a smooth, creamy consistency, the rich, tropical mango flavor is a delight with every sip. The addition of sago pearls—tiny, chewy bursts of texture—elevates the drink to another level. It's refreshing, unique, and exactly what you need after a day of exploring Chiang Mai's streets.
What makes the experience even better is the setting. On my visit, I was lucky enough to find a seat and unwind while a Thai band serenaded the crowd with surprisingly soulful covers of Oasis. The music was both nostalgic and endearing, and it felt like the perfect soundtrack to this cozy corner of the city. Thankfully, unlike the Gallagher brothers, the band maintained harmony and kept the vibes light.
FRUITURDAY’s cheerful decor and friendly service only add to its charm. It’s the kind of place where time slows down, your taste buds celebrate, and you can sit back, sip your drink, and simply take it all in.
If you find yourself in Chiang Mai, make it a point to stop here. Whether you’re a smoothie aficionado or just looking for a spot to rest your feet and enjoy good company (and music), FRUITURDAY is a must-visit. A delightful taste of Thailand...

Two of the workers were sorting mangos when I walked in and one of them gave me a very bad look, so I thought perhaps they are not open anymore, so I asked “are you guys open” as it seemed as if I interrupted something by the look on the girls face followed by them saying something in Thai. The other girl came to take my order and the other girl continued to look up with a very rude look on her face so I decided to leave and said “it’s okay thank you’ to the lady about to take my order. As I walked out they again, said something in Thai to each other and I proceeded to be given that rude look..
Very surprised to experience such unnecessary behaviour as I have never experience this in Thailand and love giving good...
Read moreA nice air conditioned fruit shake spot with limited indoor seating (3 tables with a small bar around the cashier) and outdoor seating.
The menu is nicely laid out and shows the health benefits of each fruit which is cool.
I wanted to order the lychee but they were out so I switched to melon. Both my partner and I asked for no sugar/sweetener. What we got was a bit disappointing. My melon shake tasted more like a water shake with a hint of melon. The refresher tasted better but was blended with a lot of ice so it was hard to drink. I would be open to trying it again and trying a different fruit option but only if I plan to hang around the shop. Otherwise I think there are cheaper places to get a fruit...
