GRAPH ground — Restaurant in Chiang Mai Province

Absolutely not worth the hype or the money.

I ordered a classic—an iced cappuccino—and honestly, this was the worst coffee I’ve ever had. No exaggeration.

I paid 145 THB, even though the menu said 110 (maybe extra taxes or a service fee?). Either way, you can find so many incredible coffee spots in Chiang Mai with a soul for half the price and infinitely better quality.

The atmosphere here were so-so as well. Like Starbucks or so on. Where business is just business.

I get that taste is subjective—some people might actually enjoy super bitter, over-roasted extra-strong coffee. But if you prefer medium or light-medium roasts, this place definitely will not work.

And for that price single-use plastic cup…?

Maybe they specialize in fancy drinks rather than the classics. I’m not even sure what they served me was the cappuccino—it didn’t look like one. Took a sip (so as my partner), left it untouched, and walked out.

I almost never rate anything low score....

Exceptional. Clearly so much thought and soul has gone into every aspect of this place.

What set it apart for us though was the complete absence of pretense (both staff and clientele) one often finds at higher end coffee shops, particularly in the nimman area. The feeling is craftsman, not hipster - soulful, not hiso.

Nevertheless the design and aesthetic generally is top shelf, with a relaxing color palate and a warm modern farmhouse meets cold modern industrial yin/yang vibe.

Staff is kind, welcoming, gentle and deeply absorbed in their work. The care and focus they put into each drink was obvious in both presentation and taste.

There is a roasting / cupping area you can view from the cafe if you want to see the process it takes to serve such tasty coffee.
