Could this short/little owner be a male chauvinist? What a jerk. I was there when the place was very quite, only 3-4 guys drinking something on one table. No greeting whatsoever to me when i walked in and sat down. Grumpy guy half way tossed the menu at me. After placing an order to eat there, I wanted to keep the menu so I could order a pizza to go later. But the jerk took the menu away. Af first, thought he was jus t a grumpy guy, but noticed that he was very friendly with all male customers. Hey jerk, If you dont want money from the ladies, put out a sign! Also you should not order anything without asking the price first. I was asked what to drink. I dont drink, so “just water.” He charged 25-30 baht (a fruit smoothie is 30 baht at cafes and a bottled water is usually 10 at other restaurants, and free flowing just about everywhere including hotels & the massage place next door that i go to. What a gem! From the moment we stepped into The Guitar Bar, we were welcomed with open arms by incredibly friendly staff who made us feel like family. The owner, “Bond,” went out of his way to sit with us, share stories, and even teach us a few essential Thai phrases. That kind of hospitality is rare and so deeply appreciated.

We found ourselves coming back daily—not just for the great vibes and comfy seating in a relaxed setting, but also for the food. Every dish was absolutely arroy mark ka! (so delicious!). The atmosphere was perfect for unwinding and soaking up the charm of Chiang Mai.
