Our expectations were high after reading all the reviews. But the real experience turned out to be a completely different story. The host and the waiter who is one person is not a service oriented guy. Arrogant attitude, not polite and ruins the whole atmosphere. We had to ask for utencils, drinks we ordered and extra sauces and every time we felt very uncomfortable cause his response was as if he was doing a favor and he was not happy about it. And his remarks were very rude which is so uncommon for the service industry of Thailand. The food taste and presentation can also be impoved: olivier salad was served in a small bowl with mayo on the side and it was a big challenge to mix it in a small bowl. The pickled cabbage and carrot salad didn’t taste the way it is supposed to taste. Borscht was also a bit far from an iconic version. The taste was not bad but it tasted like some other soup. The only thing I like was the meatballs with mashed potatoes. The Medovik cake was also disappointing. All in all, considering the bill you leave the place in a confused state of mind: it’s not that cheap, and you don’t get what you paid for.
I think the owners can make it a much better place: it’s always good when new restaurants with world cusine open up, but details matter and most of the time add up to the whole experience. Which was quite disappointing this time. I hope the owners will keep improving the place and pay attention to details so that more people will have a chance to enjoy the...
Read moreAs a Russian living abroad for more than 5 years I can say thus is the best Russian food in Asia I had. So delicious 😋 portions - huge! All staple dishes you can potentially miss from home. If I'm to be picky, I would make meat pirozhki with a bit more salt in the dough! You can have free water, tea or coffee, play games and join weekly events for kids and adults! Absolute gem 💎 I was all alone on Saturday, it was raining so hopefully other times the cafe is full as they deserve it! Service is great, too, very gentle and quick. You can have menu in...
Read moreThis food literally made my day! I wanted to come yesterday, but I was too tired. So I was waiting to come to the only Slavic place in Chiangmai and I am amazed with how good the food is. The portions are quite big (and I had mini-combo, because I wanted to try as many things as possible). Borscht was served with garlic, sour cream and bread. The mashed potatoes and meatballs are superb. Overall, the food and service are excellent.
I hope you’ll have more customers in the future. Thank you for the homemade...
