Exploring Volks Bagels nestled in the lively Nimman area of Chiang Mai was an exceptional journey that far surpassed my anticipations. As someone who has frequently ordered through the Grab app, experiencing the shop firsthand unveiled an enriching layer to my fondness for their culinary creations.
The ambiance within Volks Bagels Nimman radiates a warm and welcoming vibe, presenting a delightful contrast to the somewhat detached nature of online orders. The genuine hospitality of the staff, combined with the enticing scents of fresh bagels and aromatic coffee, crafts an atmosphere filled with comfort and cheer. This venue truly embodies the spirit of artisanal baking, where each morsel narrates a tale of heritage and creativity.
Their assortment of bagels and spreads is notably impressive, offering a palette that appeals to both purists and those seeking novelty. Whether it's the simplicity of a plain or sesame bagel or the distinctive charm of blueberry, cinnamon raisin, or everything bagels, each variant is flawlessly crafted, boasting a texture and flavor that satisfy the senses. The range of spreads, from the traditional cream cheese to the adventurous peanut butter and jelly, perfectly accentuates the bagels, elevating their inherent flavors without overpowering them.
The distinctive factor of Volks Bagels Nimman lies not only in the superior quality of their bagels but also in their unwavering dedication to customer satisfaction. The staff's expertise, warmth, and sincere interest in providing a memorable experience are commendable. Their enthusiasm in suggesting combinations and sharing their passion for baking adds a personalized touch absent from the online ordering experience.
To sum up, my visit to Volks Bagels Nimman was a revelatory encounter that enriched my admiration for this culinary treasure. The excellence of the fare, the inviting atmosphere of the establishment, and the outstanding customer service position it as a quintessential spot for both locals and visitors. It serves as a poignant reminder of the pleasure found in truly engaging with food, and I eagerly anticipate many more visits, both physically and via...
Read moreUpdate So I originally wrote the below review for a free bagel (65B). After eating there, though, I do think this place is worth 5 stars.
We ordered one Everything and one Garlic + Olive Oil bagel each with plain cream cheese (35B/ea). Both were excellent, and I'm not actually sure which was better.
We also ordered an iced Americano (70B), and it was surprisingly good (considering this place is known for their bagels and not for being a cafe). You can also order their breakfast combo, which is an original bagel, cream cheese, and an iced Americano for 140B (savings of 30B).
While you can get cheaper bagels elsewhere, they won't be that good. If you're in the mood for a solid bagel, this is your place. I think we will be back to grab the aforementioned combo.
Lastly, both of the guys working when we visited were very friendly, patient (figuring out the free bagel situation), and helpful. There's A/C but no wifi. I think they share a bathroom with Dirty Curry and other nearby shops (outside of Volks).

Read moreDefinitely a can’t miss place to visit on your next trip! Super tasty bagels and coffee and great vibes overall. I love the retro style and posters all over walls is giving LES New York energy. As a New York native I can 100% approve the authenticity and tastiness of the bagels and have found nothing comparable during my trip to Thailand. The staff were super friendly and knowledgeable and I loved the atmosphere of the place. This is the perfect spot to take a load off during your travels, kick back to study or grind out some work, or just enjoy the nice ambiance with a few friends. I’ve raved about this place to all of my friends and I am very happy to find this hole in the wall cafe that reminds me of home 💕. Shout out to the owners who were very sweet and enthusiastic! We reminisced about their time in New York and it was awesome :)) . 10/10 you HAVE to check...
