I had high expectations visiting John's Place in Chiang Mai, hoping to savour authentic Thai cuisine, but unfortunately, it was a deeply disappointing experience.
The Khao Soi, which is a staple and beloved local dish, was poorly prepared and lacked the rich, balanced flavours one would expect. The minced pork with basil leaves, a classic, was mediocre at best—something I've tasted better even at non-Thai eateries. The coconut curry was especially disappointing—it was so diluted that it felt like a watered-down version of what it should have been.

It has various tables outside and inside, an enormous TV (if you are keen on sports) and fans around the room to cool it down. Together with the food, there are also many different beverages (alcohol, smoothies and others). The staff is always available, gentle and ready to satisfy you. I absolutely suggest you try this place if you are...
