There's something genuinely magical about Klay Cafe in Chiang Mai, an experience that has rendered me speechless and equally eager to share with everyone.
From the moment I walked through the door, Klay Cafe's atmosphere of warmth and hospitality immediately captivated me, setting the stage for an unforgettable meal. The staff, an exceptionally polite and friendly team, greeted me with genuine smiles that instantly made me feel at home. Their professionalism and welcoming nature are worth noting and only heighten the overall experience.
The real standout at Klay Cafe, though, is undeniably the food. My big breakfast was not just a meal; it was a symphony of fresh, high-quality ingredients perfectly orchestrated to create a taste that was nothing short of divine.
The toast, with its homemade charm and substantial thickness, was an integral part of this breakfast symphony. Its rich, hearty taste harked back to the simpler days of my childhood, filling me with a sense of nostalgia as I savoured each bite. It reminded me of the old-school milk bread I used to relish as a kid, a detail that turned my breakfast into a memory-laden culinary journey.
And what better companion for such a feast than their hot American coffee? Smooth, robust, and perfectly balanced, it was the perfect end to my meal. With not a trace of bitterness, it was a testament to the cafe's dedication to quality and taste.
As I sit here recalling my experience at Klay Cafe, I can't help but appreciate the sublime combination of flavours, aromas, and warmth that this little gem in Chiang Mai offers. If you're looking for a place where food is not just a meal but a sensory and emotional experience, look no further. Read moreWent there for breakfast and lunch during my stay in Chiang Mai, the cafe is located in the heart of Nimman area where hundreds of cafes situated every corner. Breakfast and lunch I had at Klay cafe as you saunter in you’ll feel like you’re embraced with positive energy as a welcome, serene, cosy and vibrant at the same time, staff there was super friendly and attentive. The food was impressively palatable, western standard plating, instagrammable yet luscious. I also had a chance to try a slice of fresh-made caramel slice, delivered by one of the owners who specialised in patisserie culinary almost a decade in Sydney. Coffeewise, the other owner is also a barista himself. He spent several years in Sydney as a head-barista which says the coffee standard as it is. Klay cafe serves all caffeinated drinks with local coffee beans, fragrant and delicate when sip it. There are more menus I would love to try but couldn’t as my trip in Chiang Mai was too short. I utterly loved this place and would highly recommend those who are seeking a good and hygienic food with cosy environment. Well done and see you again...

We were really looking forward to Eating at Klat as it’s near our home, and the cafe looks cute but….. I’ve lived in Thailand for 10 years and this might actually be the worse breakfast I ever had. The eggs Benedict were ice cold, the grilled tomato was ice cold, so most likely grilled earlier and put in the fridge, the plate was also cold and toasted bread was room temperate at best. My Thai friend had the pasta and it was extremely oily, and undercooked.
We mentioned our concerned but no one really cared, we payed our bill and left.
Also you will be surrounded with people taking IG photos around your table which makes it hard to sit and enjoy a meal when you know you are in the background of a a bunch of people taking photos. No one seemed to enjoy the food, they just seemed to enjoy taking pics for the Gram.
This place charges a premium price for Thailand, so we expected better.. It’s good for IG photos I guess if you are into that, but...
