The only real good of this place is their terrace. We are on our 4th day in Chiang Mai and so far we have no disappointment in the local cafés , even at some we don’t expect much. We pass by this place on our way back to the hotel and it was crowded. We decide to go here for breakfast the next day. First disappointment was their selection of coffee, only black or coffee with milk, hot or cold 😳. There’s no fresh juice, only bottled ☹️. I ordered kombucha and it was bottled too. My husband ordered egg benedict, and it looks like it was made by an amateur cook, it tastes as it looks 😝 I ordered ‘make your own plate’, scrambled egg which was overcooked, cheese - which was cheap sandwich cheese (which I hardly can call cheese), grilled mushroom - which was tasteless.
Service was so so, waiters are nice but not attentive, it feels like they are new to they job. I normally have no issue with that but this put our overall experience even worse.
The price is on the higher side, we paid around 650thb for 2 drinks and 2 meals.
Overall I like the concept of brunch all day it goes well with their decor and vibe. But above all we come here for the good food and drinks which definitely they couldn’t deliver.
P/s: We were so disappointed that we forgot to take photos, but we want to leave this review and are really questioned with the 5*...
Read moreHad brunch here for three times, would never be there again. The first two times’ experience was quite okay, the food was not bad except the Croque Madame for its over-dried toast (ordered twice and both too dry, trust me don’t give it even a single chance, the bbq burgers/sandwiches are much better than the French ones) But obviously they have discrimination over the old as the third & last time I took my family (3 old people & my cousin) to the restaurant, the waitress stopped me and asked me to pay the bill in advance when I was trying to grab some coffee back (they only serve americano). I asked why I was required to pay the bill first as yesterday I came here alone and checked out after the meal, the lady at the cashier explained there was a runner yesterday so they started to let the customers pay first. However in just few minutes I noticed a lady paid after finishing her meal, and also saw someone had the same experience in google map reviews 😅 Obviously they serve some customers like they are in the McDoanld’s (the only difference is that MD treats everyone the same and charges far less for its services). Itk you will be welcomed here if u will...
Read more[Jan 2020] Last Visit: My favorite muffins not available anymore :-( Monster Cookies are not the same - it’s no longer the yummiest cookies I’d gladly recommend. They are now flaky and a bit dry, not nearly as rich as they used to be. Although we tried out a new menu - a strawberry white-choc muffin of some sort which the shop keepers recommended, similarly to the cookies, flaky and dry, and the amount of white-choc must have been a test to one’s palate if it’s actually there. :-( Sadly, after today, I can no longer recommend this place to my friends.
[Jan 2019] Original Review: Imagine that absolute yummiest soft-baked cookie you think you’ve had in your entire life. Well, guess what? They serve you way better ones here!! My favorite would be the ‘Monster Cookie’. Their Coconut Muffin is a one of a kind, and just taste so delicious!! Prices are surprisingly low for this kind of quality, home-made bakeries. You’ll most definitely come back for more. Oh, and they also serve nice breakfast. And did I mention, the staff are super nice...
