Krit Ocha Chicken rice 榮发雞飯 — Restaurant in Chiang Mai Province

Avoid this place at all costs if you're a tourist. First time we came was 30 minutes before closing, and the chicken came out cold but we assumed it was because it was the end of the day. Next time around lunch it was cold again. The prices are also very expensive for chicken and rice, maybe 3.5 times the price of what you would get at a normal chicken and rice place. The lady running the place was quite rude both times we came, compared to a lovely experience at literally any other restaurant or food stand I've been to here over the past month and last year. Great! Hainanese boiled or steamed chicken rice is a staple in Thailand but few restaurants offer the "proper" way to eat it: help yourself sweet, thick black soy sauce and all the ginger, garlic and chillies you want on the table. Good kao man gai at cheap prices. They make a set amount each day and when it is gone, it is gone (normally about 1.45-2ish. A family run establishment that have obviously been doing this for generations and have perfected their recipe. It can get a bit loud as rather than use a ticketing system they just shout your order across the establishment, which adds to the charm but can hurt your head if you are right...
