On the last day of our trip to Chiang Mai, what was supposed to be a perfect vacation ended up being ruined by this restaurant.
We found this buffet restaurant with high ratings online, so we decided to give it a try. Initially, the food seemed decent, but unfortunately, the experience was spoiled by their ordering app, which made us extremely frustrated.
There were six of us in total, and four of us used our phones to scan their QR code to place orders. Halfway through the meal, a lot of food that we didn’t order started arriving. At first, we thought some of our friends had accidentally placed orders, so we ate the food. But then more and more dishes that we didn’t order kept coming. We asked the staff to check our orders, and they told us the orders had been placed under “Macau.” We argued with them, asking them to check thoroughly. When they displayed all of our orders, we realized that five different phones had been used to place orders, which was completely unreasonable because only four of us had scanned the QR code.
We tried to reason with them, but they ignored our complaints. Most of the extra dishes they kept sending were fried rice, noodles, and the same dish repeated five times.
This buffet restaurant has a policy where if you don’t finish the food you order and waste it, they will fine you. In the end, we were fined over 200 yuan. I explained to them that the issue wasn’t about the money, but the waste of food. I asked them to check if there was a problem with their app, but they insisted there was no issue and claimed we placed the orders.
I find this restaurant extremely irresponsible, unwilling to listen to customer complaints, and unreasonable in their insistence on...
Read moreHailing from Las Vegas, land of the buffets, i was very surprised at the quality of food and the variety of dishes available. The majority of dishes are based around large freshwater prawns.
When you arrive at the restaurant you are given a menu but order all your dishes from your smartphone. No waiting in line, no issues with someone loading up their plate in front of you, and getting up and down. Everything comes to you and it comes fast so no worries about having to order all at once. Highly suggest going at lunch vs dinner when there are a lot more people. Otherwise making a reservation is suggested.
Highly recommend the grilled prawns and fried sea bass which comes with two light sauces. The Tom Yum soup is also delicious. I do suggest staying away from the Pad Thai. A variety of ice cream is available for dessert.
There are water misters and fans that will keep you cool even on the hottest days. I believe there is another location that is air-conditioned but the buffet cost is higher.
The buffet is 600 baht per person and DOES NOT include drinks. Guests are given a 3 hour period to enjoy the buffet. An also carte option is available if there are individuals in your party that don't feel like eating a lot.
This is definitely a must go to if you enjoy shrimp, fish, and other...
Read moreThe shrimp were fresh and delicious, all-you-can-eat for 599 baht per person (limited to 3 hours). Ordering was done via scanning a QR code, but alcoholic beverages were not available, and ice cubes were for an additional charge.
The service staff at the reception desk spoke English, but others couldn't communicate in English. This led to some confusion when we received small bottle drinks instead of large ones, requiring us to wait for the reception staff to assist us after attending to other customers.
As for the food, except for the raw marinated dishes we hadn’t tried, all the shrimp dishes were fresh and tasty. However, the crab and conch seemed to be frozen. The freshness of the grilled squid that day was a complete disaster. We only had one piece, but still had the runs that night.
Overall, if you're specifically looking to taste Thai shrimp, this place is worth a try. Oh, and remember to wear long pants, as there are a lot...
