People Place Boutique In Town Hotel - SHA Extra Plus — Hotel in Chiang Mai Province

The hotel is located behind the night bazaar market and in the heart of the restaurant district. The hotel was built for Thais meaning most furnishings are small, the bathroom and toilet are no exception. The bed needs to be replaced and all rooms ending with a number 1 are noisy. Those ending in a number 2 face away from the street and are quieter. This hotel is well and truly dated. Breakfast is in the Peoples Place Hotel 2, which is next door up a flight of stairs. The breakfast itself is nothing to get excited over, just a few items for the buffet and if you want more there is an additional charge. A very friendly and helpful service, the front office staff have a good command in english. The continental breakfast buffet (110 bth) is a bid spare so for prefer the "a la Carte" Thai breakfast.(60-80 bth) Rooms are neat and clean and the TV has a good choice of English speaking channels with a good quality image! The proximity to the night market Anusaran (Local handcrafts),the night Bazaar and the old city (little square) are a highlight. Finaly although near a lot of night activities the hotel is very quiet.

This is by far one of the best-located hotels in the area. There are a total of no fewer than three hotels in that alley. You should know that the long way to get straight out of the alley (Chareonprathet Lane 8) goes to the back of a temple and onto Changklan Road, a main road, while the short way goes to Sridonchai Road, another main street leading to the Saturday night market. Picture development is on the short end of the alley, on Sridonchai. The cheapest place to get your laundry done costs about 30 Bahts...
