I recently visited Peshawar Restaurant in Chiang Mai, Thailand and was thoroughly impressed by the diverse culinary offerings under one roof. The restaurant excels in providing a rich tapestry of flavors, featuring Pakistani, Indian, Thai, and Arabic cuisines.
Food Quality: The food here is nothing short of exceptional. From the aromatic biryanis to the spicy curries, each dish is prepared with authenticity and care. The variety of Thai dishes, including pad Thai and green curry, were equally delightful, maintaining a balance of sweet, spicy, and savory elements. The Arabic offerings like shawarma and kebabs were juicy, well-spiced, and served with fresh, warm pita bread.
Service: What sets Peshawar Restaurant apart is not just the food but also the hospitality. The owner is incredibly friendly, making each visitor feel welcomed and valued. His enthusiasm for the food and culture he represents adds a warm, personal touch to every meal.
Ambiance: The ambiance is vibrant yet comfortable, reflecting the diverse cultures of the food it serves. It's a place where you can enjoy a feast for both the eyes and the palate.
Must-Visit: This place is truly a hundred flavors under one roof, offering something for everyone. Whether you're a fan of spicy Indian curries, savory Pakistani kebabs, fragrant Thai dishes, or hearty Arabic meals, Peshawar Restaurant delivers. It's a must-visit for anyone looking to enjoy a culinary journey without leaving Thailand.
Overall, Peshawar Restaurant is a delightful spot for food lovers, offering an authentic and friendly dining experience. Highly recommended for anyone...
Read moreSome of the very best Indian/Pakistani food I have ever had, and at an extremely affordable price as well! Peshawar is a hidden gem! 🤩
We ordered several things from the menu: cardamom lassi, cumin lassi, chicken kashmir, beef keema, garlic naan, cheese naan and basmati rice! It even came with a complimentary side salad…and despite this being quite a lot of food for even 2 people, it added up to less than the price of a 1-person meal in the United States!
The chicken kashmir and beef keema were EXTREMELY good. I would highly recommend them. We ordered them not spicy and they were just so wonderfully-seasoned, the flavor just exploded in your mouth. They tasted so good! The garlic naan was good, classic garlic naan (exactly what you’d expect), and the cheese naan was way better than I expected! It was filled with a unique, slightly-sweet cheese and was such a great addition to the chicken kashmir.
The lassi drinks were very interesting as well! I have never had anything like them - but the fact Peshawar was able to blend these spices into a yogurt drink and make it actually work was extremely impressive to me! Well done; I will definitely try more of the unique lassi flavors next time I visit!
All in all, this is a splendid restaurant. Any time I visit Chiang Mai in the future, I’ll be heading here at least once (maybe even twice depending on how long I am in town for). I suggest all visitors do the same! Definitely give this restaurant a shot! You will not be...
Read moreAfter looking at the reviews, we were really excited to try to restaurant for lunch. We were so sadly disappointed. We first ordered mango lassis. It tasted as if there was no mango in it at all, just yogurt and water. We should have known it wasn’t going to taste well when the drink came out looking white like milk... I had the lamb vindaloo. It was hard to eat because there were small pieces of bone everywhere!! To make things worse, I order their roti only to be served one small piece of roti that was so thin and half burnt. PLEASE change your food pictures if you show the roti to be fluffy and swerved with multiple pieces.
My partner ordered the chicken curry and said it was the blandest curry he had ever tasted. If he wasn’t so hungry, he wouldn’t have even taken another bite.
The dining experience wasn’t pleasant either. The napkins on our table had nasty food fingerprints and I had to change the napkins myself from another table. We also had the lady that served us our food sit right next to us and stare at us for most of our meal. So uncomfortable.
Please save your money and your TEETH by eating elsewhere....
