White House — Restaurant in Chiang Mai Province

Relief for dining, dinner, and dancing this is the place! Really the best in town. Lots of Thailand people very few foreigners if any. I like the price I order of a large bottle of Sang Som along with ice, soda, your favorite beverage mine is sprite . Along with a couple of entrées from the venue some of our favorite is the pork knuckle bone and vegetables or a giant squid with chili sauce it’s all good and inns up costing maybe 1000 or 1200 baht for the evening for 2 to 4 people! Now that’s cheep and lots of fun !...

The locals call this place Whitehouse Memory Song.

Located alongside the river road on the East side, this is a big live music pub... Thai style. But this Pub comes with a unique twist. The music is primarily Thai oldies and classics. As a Westerner it's lost on me, but the packed house seems to know and enjoy every song. The sing along energy is contagious even if you don't know the songs. A great spot to entertain Thai friends, go on a date, or take Thai newbie guests.

Well. We had a good time but I feel like they really jacked up our bill, so we won’t be coming back. Our food was about 500 baht and we had a bottle of sangsom for another (roughly 500 baht). But somehow our bill was 1800 baht. They charged us for 7 water and 6 soda waters… There’s no way we drank that much water. And 180 baht for ice. Too bad. We had fun and the food was good. Shame to waste all that goodwill to scam a few...
