It clearly that Chef Saroch is talented. His understanding of ingredients is excellent. He cooks Thai food with RESPECT.

I fell in love with his dish at my first bite. I immediately asked who is the chef and where is his origin? Because he cooks Thai northern food so well and also cook southern and western food all so well! How can this happen in one person? Wow amazing! He is the Gems of The Surin! I am saying because I am Thai who loves Thaifood and I experience all the famous restaurants in Thailand.

Normally Thai food at the hotel could be dissatisfied and not authentic but NOT with The Surin! The Surin changed my perception towards Thai food in the hotel forever!

I am Thai who grew up in the north of Thailand. I am familiar with Gang Hang Lae; Chef Saroch present Gang Hang Lae in fine dining dish, he made me feel proud of northern food. Thank you very much for your dedication to your work as a chef!

Moreover he is a very lovely and humble chef. It shows that he is the real one. He got no EGO he just want to cook the best dish for the client! Humble is the good quality to be the good chef, that means he always listens to the feedback and improve, no wonder why he could cook all the amazing dishes :)

An absolutely incredible experience eating as a guest at the restaurant. I was unsure where to go and when I entered the resort from the main entrance, and a security guard kindly asked for a golf cart to pick me up. I thought this was very nice since I am not staying at the resort and I was grateful as it was steep! I had made a reservation - which I recommend you do if planning to eat here. As a solo traveller I thought I would get shafted in favour of couples but no, they placed me right at a beachfront table which was so lovely for sunset. Then I had two hours of incredible service. The staff were excellent, kind and so helpful (including organising a cart to take me back to the main road). The food- wow. I had the sea bass spring rolls, tofu panang (best cooked tofu I have ever had), and a banana fritter for dessert. Excellent food- I would have happily paid more. I would have liked my Panang a bit spicier but I appreciate that ‘medium’ spicy means different things in different contexts. The Surin resort is a beautiful resort full in the nature. They brought us to the beach with the golf cart who arrived really fast. We had an amazing dinner front row so we could see the sunset. We chose a degustation menu (2400 BAHT for 2 Persons) which was amazing (see photos). Every dishes had is unique touch of flavor and one of the best Thai Food since I arrived in Thailand. There are like 9/10 dishes. We even took a Thai Wine with a Banana hidden flavor and I was surprised that it was so good. Service was really fast, they had a lot of attention of all the details and the perfect service. It was the birthday of one of the friend there and they even brought a cake we written happy birthday. Really a nice gesture. Thanks you to Poo (Manger) who was so kind and we talked a little bit a the end of the dinner and gave a lot of tips (even a mosquito spray lol, cause I had already a lot of mosquito bites) and all the staff who served us.
