Curry Delight Phuket — Restaurant in Karon

Trying to do a scam at a time when there are so few customers :(

At 2 pm December 12th the restaurant was empty and there is a HUGE "20% discount on all food" sign written in chalk in the middle of it that is easy to see from outside when you drive by.

I ordered 3 things for takeaway and when I came back to pick it up the check didn't have the discount. I pointed this out and the worker instead showed me a much smaller and more difficult to see sign in a different place which said "10% discount on food between 4pm and 8pm".

It was hard to believe that I had to ask him about the huge 20% discount sign. He said something like that that was from last year and something else I couldn't understand and said now there is no 20% discount and that's final. After I got on my motorbike without paying or taking the food he surrendered and offered the 20% discount. You have to wonder what else a place like this is trying to be cheap with after such a strange encounter.

My sister and I were in the Kata area of Phuket, and were booked there for 3 nights. We had been on the hunt for good Indian cuisine/food and upon our search on the internet, we came across the Curry Delight restaurant. We ordered some butter chicken with butter naan and fried rice with grilled prawns. The food was freshly made and delicious. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful the entire time, so much so that they allowed us to play South African music to remind us of home. Jerry is very kind, approachable and was very efficient with taking our order. He also ensured our food was delivered with care. Had Indian food here, and wow—I’m totally impressed! I’ve had Indian food before, but this place nailed it. Every dish was packed with flavors, like the perfect balance of spicy, savory, and sweet. Seriously couldn’t put my fork down!

The vibe in the restaurant made it even better. It’s decorated in this cool, laid-back “loco” style—nothing stuffy, just chill and cozy. It felt like dining by the sea with that open, relaxed beachy feel.
