I recently dined at a fantastic Thai seafood restaurant in the charming Kata Beach area. The experience was truly remarkable. The restaurant's serene beachfront location set the perfect ambiance for a memorable meal.
The menu featured an impressive array of fresh seafood options, from succulent prawns to delectable fish. I opted for the chef's recommendation, the Tom Yum Goong soup, which was a perfect blend of spicy and sour flavors, teeming with plump shrimp. The presentation of each dish was exquisite, showcasing the chef's attention to detail.
One standout dish was the Phad Thai with seafood, boasting perfectly cooked noodles and a tantalizing sauce that complemented the fresh seafood ingredients. The flavors were authentic and bold, a testament to the restaurant's commitment to traditional Thai cuisine.
The service was impeccable, with attentive staff who provided insightful recommendations and ensured a delightful dining experience. The prices were reasonable for the quality and portion sizes of the dishes.
To top it all off, the sunset view from the restaurant was breathtaking. Dining here as the sun dipped below the horizon was an unforgettable experience.

In fact, I ate there almost every day for several days in a row. Secondly, I found the restaurant clean and the seafood fresh. In Phuket, seafood tends to cost about 3x more than poultry. The setting here is more humble compared to the other place, but I think my Asian stomach prefers the taste at Kata Mama.
Plus, they’ve been in business since the 80s. My favorite dishes are the curry and the seafood stir-fry with basil and jasmine...

Essentially none of it is authentic Thai.
The seating was dirty but we did get disposable chopsticks which is preferred for cleanliness.
The service was very slow and it took ages to get everything. Our mango sticky rice was extremely slow. We realized they didn't have it ready at all so they just threw normal rice with sesame seeds on a plate. Real mango sticky rice has specially made rice with...
