The food tasted really good, particularly if you can handle spice! My friend enjoyed her shrimp with noodles and my wife the amazing tom kha gai (very creamy), good potato salad and fried rice. My chicken tom yum was pretty good and beef red curry a very good flavour that left my mouth on absolute fire (I can handle spice well, but it also may not bother some people).
The atmosphere was amazing with the friendly staff, very detailed decor inside and leading up to both entrances of the building and the relaxing Chinese music was very peaceful making us want to sit and enjoy the restaurant for longer.
There were just a few things affecting my rating. I ordered a Singh beer off the menu and they only had Chang. I asked for something milk based to help with the spice and they recommended an apple shake which I assumed must be made with milk, but it was just a bit of juice in a lot of ice and didn’t help at all. The server brought out the wrong soup to start, but they replaced it quickly without an issue. My rice was much too small for the curry so a lot of that hot curry sauce went uneaten. It was also quite an expensive place to eat and we were really only paying that for the atmosphere, so if you don’t care about atmosphere, it’s probably not your place.
But the food was good, the atmosphere great and the staff friendly, so plenty of...
Read moreWent here because reviews seemed pretty good, but overall I feel like it's overrated. The service is mostly great, but at times slightly awkward (not sure if some staff was in training). The food is not as good as it looks in the photos, we've had much better authentic Thai food from little food stalls delivered by GRAB food. Thought to try the crab spring rolls, but they were underwhelming, the papaya salad was unusually too salty, the pad Thai was too sweet and almost no taste. Only the whole steamed fish was good quality fresh fish. And 100baht for a young coconut, that's crazy expensive. We can get two better Thai young coconuts for that price in Singapore! It's also at the top of a small hill, so the hike isn't the most practical if you have a...
Read moreWe saw the restaurant on the map and thought it look very pretty, we were looking for a nice place to have our last dinner in Phuket. We ordered some starters and then took time to see there menu because it's quite big, our starters took a long time to arrive, we finished them and we probably still waited at least 30 minutes for our mains. We ordered lobster, stir fried vegetables, and a stir fried with prawns and other veggies. Our lobster was not properly cooked, it was chewy and difficult to eat. The stir fried plates had a very mild and plain taste, nothing like real Thai food that has a lot of flavor and spice. We have traveled for 6 weeks in Thailand and we definitely can say that this was our worst dinner of the...
