Kelly’s on 41 has a “Cheers” (the classic TV comedy for folks who don’t know) vibe to it.
It’s a warm, cosy, friendly bar /restaurant that makes you feel at home immediately - yes, a place where everyone knows your name (like the famous Boston bar, but with great yakatori and more Japanese bar food classics).
Kelly’s is a great spot to start a night and is popular attracting salarymen, golfers, daters, and blokes set for a big night out. Many come for the affordable beers and other drinks, and delicious snacking dishes including yakatori sticks, fried oysters, tofu, squid, and plenty of other Japanese nibbles.
In addition to the downstairs bar, there is a dining area upstairs (but beware the stairs they’re a little tricky). And if you’re a Thai politics fan look out for the Chuwit wallpaper upstairs.

We ended up going there three times during our Bangkok trip, and I highly recommend it to everyone! It will definitely be one of my must-visit spots in Bangkok.

I loved the Namban Chicken with egg salad—its flavor and texture were fantastic. The Tomato Wrapped in Pork had cheese powder on top, which took the flavor to the next level. The Rice Ball with Devil Sauce had a unique plum and kelp flavor, with a crunchy texture inside.
The food here isn't just ordinary izakaya; you can tell they put a lot of effort into creating their dishes, mixing different textures and flavors to make their offerings...
