After my second visit to Dakjib (Tue 30th Oct 24), I can confidently say this Korean Yakitori bar in Bangkok never disappoints.
The Chicken Black Rice in a Hot Pan was just as incredible as the first time – perfectly seasoned, with tender chicken and the rich flavour of black rice kept warm on the hot pan.
The Kimchi Pork Rib Soup remains a standout dish, with its bold, spicy flavors and fall-off-the-bone pork ribs.
The Striped Fried Calamari was crisp, light, and full of flavor, a great way to start the meal.
What impressed me most on my second visit was the consistency – the food was just as excellent, and the service as warm and attentive as before. Big compliments for Khun Belle from start to finish.
Dakjib has quickly become one of my favorite spots in Bangkok, and I look forward to returning again!
Just visited this evening. Impressed with the services and quality of food.
Upon arrival, given a cup of Makgeolli as welcome drink. Staff explained how to order from electronic menu but only wanna tried out the signature and something light with a drink. So, asked the staff to recommend.
The menu combination that Khun Belle (I forgot to ask if she is the manager or owner) recommended was great. Grilled chicken thighs with plenty of veggies Fried Tortillas with Burrata Cheese and Pickled Apple Grilled spiced corn And a lot of different sauces and traditional Korean side condiments
I could really feel that staff paid very good attention of taking of their products eg crispy fresh veggies and the food was cooked to perfection.
The services from Khun Belle was also impeccable. First, she demonstrated how to eat Tortilla by making it to become small pocket to hold the butter, cheese, jam and pickled apple. Next, she perfectly grilled the chicken and cut into bite-size. This I believe it needs skills and attentions.
The chicken came out very tender and still juicy inside. Wrapped in veggies and a little bit of sauce. Yet simple but very tasty.
She also told me the stories about the chicken but I guess I already wrote too much. Lol
Recommended to try out if you’re around in Emsphere. Thumb up for me and will definitely...
Read moreReview of Dakjib Korean Restaurant at Emsphere Bangkok
Dakjib Korean Restaurant at Emsphere Bangkok offers a solid dining experience with delicious food and a pleasant atmosphere. The interior is well-designed, creating a welcoming space that enhances the overall dining experience.
During my visit, I found the food to be quite good, but I was disappointed by the limited variety, as many items were unavailable. This certainly detracted from the experience, especially for those looking to explore a wider range of Korean dishes.
The service team, however, was friendly and attentive, going the extra mile to assist with cooking the dishes at the table, which added a nice interactive element to the meal.
I would suggest that Dakjib consider expanding their meat grill options, as this would enhance their menu and provide diners with more choices to enjoy.
Overall, while Dakjib has a lot of potential and offers a good dining experience, addressing the availability of menu items and expanding their offerings would make it...
Read moreSurprisingly pretty good. I don't like the restaurant selection at EmSphere. Not really looking forward to trying this one either. But, kind of glad I did.
I ordered a lot of the appetizers. The Corn Rib was pretty good, but it kind of reminded me of pop corn flavoring.
The best one was the Beef Tartar. It was really refreshing with a nice sesame oil flavor.
The Spicy Chicken was pretty good too. I don't mind a second plate of it, but I was too full.
The Spice Pork Bulgogi was OK. A bit too sweet. They also don't have a beef option.
The service was pretty bad considering we were the only table and they had two waitresses by the door, three inside and a bartender. They forgot my Tofu Soup order and it was challenging to get their attention to order a service. They seemed to be always preoccupied with something, training someone or something.
The other highlight was the 2-hour all you can drink Sapporo for 499 THB.
Sorry I didn't take a...
