I have seen this place before as it is 100 meters from where I stay. Its a little confusing as the front is Aroon Cafe and the back is this restaurant. At first, I decided to just try the squid ink pasta. After a couple of minutes, I added a salad with vietnamese sausage, rocket, and cheese. The salad commanded my attention. Elegant presentation of a 'simple' salad. It was when I tasted it, I realized that this might be a very special restaurant. The balance of flavors was perfect. The menu did not mention truffle oil, but that brought it to a new level. Nothing on that plate was new to me, but the execution was perfect! When I ordered the pasta, I was asked if I could eat spicy food. I told the wait person, I could, but asked for less spicy. I was worried that too much heat would mask the seafood. Upon tasting the salad, I told them to serve the pasta the way they normally prepare it. It was also perfectly balanced between savory, acidic, spicy, and 'seafood briny'. This may be the 2nd best italian restaurant I have been to. It may become number 1 after a couple more visits. To put that in perspective, I grew up in New York and lived for 30 years near...
Read moreAmazing hidden restaurant with an entrance that is nestled at the back of a cafe. We were initially confused when we arrived and saw an empty cafe, but we ventured in and realised the entrance to Lobster Main is right at the back of the cafe.
Food was amazing and worth every calorie and baht.
Lobster Bisque was among the best I have ever had, and was served with a big chunk of lobster.
Loster Roll was a savoury and umami delight. We were tempted to order another, but had to save space for the other dishes.
Garlic Prawn in Creamy White Wine Sauce was delicious. The sauce was excellent and satisfyingly yummy. Prawns were marginally overcooked, but still so perfect with the beautiful sauce.
Truffle Fries were of the soft and tender type, and was pretty good with the accompanying sauce.
Linguini Fried Soft Shell Crab Curry was the only dish that didnt match up to the rest in terms of our taste preference, but it was nevertheless well-executed.
Lobster's Luck Cocktail was very nice and paired perfectly with the amazing meal.
Will definitely be back again for more of the same and to try other dishes. Highly...
Read moreWe found this place accidentally walking by. The please doesn't look anything from the outside, but when you go through the second door, you find a super cool space. The food was amazing! I had a papardelle porchi with sage butter ( mushroom pasta dish)that was so delicious. My husband had the spaghetti Gyugatsu ( very special dish), and he loved it so much. We actually went back to the restaurant again and had the same delicious dishes. The tiramisu was very good. I have been in Italy many times, and this was one of the best tiramisu I ever had. The stuff was very friendly. The chef is a lovely young woman. She is very talented. I am sure she will receive a Michelin start soon. If we are in Bangok, we will definitely be back to this...
