I arrived at the shop around 5:50 PM, and as soon as I entered, a staff member told me – quite directly – that the store was about to close and they wouldn’t be serving drinks anymore. I had to explain to her 2–3 times that I wasn’t here for a drink, but to make a purchase.
Honestly, just by looking, it’s clear the store was about to close. If I didn’t truly need something, I wouldn’t walk in at that hour. Then I told her I wanted to buy 15 matcha bowls (850 baht each) and asked politely if there were any discounts. She said there was no discount at all. I sat down and waited for them to pack everything for takeaway.
I felt a little disappointed, especially because I had previously visited another branch (the slightly larger one near CentralWorld, no stairs). That time, even though I only bought 1 bowl + 2 bags of matcha (around 2,300 baht total), the staff were cheerful and even offered me a free matcha drink to enjoy on the spot. I was just a tourist buying on behalf of a friend, but this little gesture made me feel so welcomed – and in fact, I ended up ordering from MTCH several more times during my 2-month stay in Thailand.
Back to this visit: After hearing there was no discount or any small gesture, my friend decided to reduce the purchase to 10 bowls instead of 15. Thankfully, she also reminded me to ask for 10 individual paper bags – because we were buying for others, and no matcha shop would use all 10 bowls at once. Surprisingly, the staff didn’t ask or offer any bags on their own.

Overall, the service at this branch didn’t feel as warm as the other one. Not because they didn’t give anything extra, but simply because I had to put in effort just to explain that I was here to make a real purchase....
Read moreDo you like Matcha? 🍵🌱 Especially that imported from Japan? If you like, MTCH™ is for you! This Matcha Café has it all. I was always a fan of this café for many reasons. Trust me! You will never be disappointed for sure! :———) You can enjoy various kinds of Matcha Drinks (non-milk, milk, alt milk) and tasty desserts. Just want to try all of them. The drinks and desserts were all tasty and worthwhile. Even though, prices are a bit high but once you already taste it, you understand why.
The owner and their staff are very friendly, well organized, knowledgeable and English speaking servers. The atmosphere is lovely and cool vibes. Awesome interior designs. You could see the staff to make / brew the matcha at the open bar.
Easy to find from the station and walking distance because the location is near both of BTS. Asok and MRT. Sukhumvit, Exit 2.
If you're driving, free parking spaces for 4 hours at Young place building (for ticket stamped).
I will definitely rate them a five-star 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟for everything that they provided. Truly amazing! Thank you so much, guys!...
Read moreThis is a great place for any matcha lover. The interior is beautiful, light and airy, perfect for enjoying a cup of matcha. They also offer a wide variety of matcha options, so there will be something for every matcha lover including those who don’t drink dairy - they have milk substitutes! They don’t only serve drinks, they have snacks and pastries as well. I tried the monaka with soy milk ice cream and haru matcha with soy milk.
The monaka was alright but I wouldn’t get it again. The soy matcha ice cream was icy and has a lack of flavor, which is a pretty common problem I find with plant-based ice cream. The rice cracker was also bland, so overall it just didn’t serve💅🏻😔
The haru was sooo good! Smooth and creamy, has just the right amount of sweetness, it was an amazing glass of matcha. The haru goes well with soy milk. Would definitely recommend this especially if you don’t like something too bitter.
Would definitely come back and recommend this to a matcha lover but I just wouldn’t get the...
