Oranuch Thai Dining, located in the Sukhumvit area, is a restaurant that offers a delightful culinary journey through Thai cuisine. The ambiance is beautifully decorated, reflecting the rich Thai culture, and the food is nothing short of excellent, making it a great place for Thai dining.
However, the service experience at Oranuch leaves much to be desired. From the moment of arrival, the maitre d' greets guests with a condescending tone, asking for the number of people and names in a manner that is far from welcoming. The lack of preparation for seating guests is another issue, as guests are led to unprepared tables and then asked to return to the entrance. The rushed service, with menus thrust into hands and orders taken within minutes of arrival, further detracts from the dining experience. This lack of hospitality training is evident and is a significant drawback for a restaurant of Oranuch's caliber. The management should indeed take note of these issues and work towards improving the service experience.
Despite the service shortcomings, the food at Oranuch is commendable. The restaurant serves an array of Thai dishes that are well-prepared and flavorful, contributing to a positive dining experience
I am hopeful that Oranuch Thai Dining can turn things around. The potential for a truly exceptional dining experience is there, with its excellent food and beautiful environment. I believe that with some focused attention on improving the service, Oranuch could become a standout dining destination in the Sukhumvit area.
I am optimistic that the management will take these criticisms to heart and make the necessary changes. After all, a restaurant is not just about the food, but the overall experience. And a key part of that experience is the service.
I look forward to returning to Oranuch in the future. I am hopeful that I will be able to update this review with a more positive account of the service. I believe in giving second chances and I am confident that Oranuch can deliver a more satisfying...
Read moreI asked for an appetizer of fried chicken wings and the server acted as they understood what i said. After 30 minutes of waiting for our food (way too long) they brought us roasted chicken and the other dishes i ordered. I assumed that the roasted chicken was the fried chicken and ate it. Even though i clearly stated fried chicken they brought us a whole ‘nother dish that was more than double the price. Additionally every time we had a request it was impossible to get their attention and once they came every time they left again and called another server to come. They charged us 520 instead of 180 (price of fried chicken) and once we complained they kept on stating that we said the other chicken even though we had said fried chicken while the other dish was called roasted chicken. They even said we hadn’t even looked at the appetizers which is completely untrue. They victimized themselves as if they hadn’t made the error and gave us a 15% discount on the price of the chicken as if we were in the wrong and she was just being nice which was only about 89 baht worth of discount which didn’t come close to the 340 extra we had to pay for the other dish. The chicken that cost more wasn’t even good it was bland and the sauces that came with it didn’t compliment the chicken at all. Then the stir fried fish we got tasted as if it were frozen and had no real flavor. Servers were always distracted and acted like we were unimportant prioritizing big tables and food was mid without anything standing out. Only good thing was the atmosphere and setting. Overall very displeased with service and will not be ever coming again, I do not...
Read moreIf I could give this restaurant twelve stars, I would—Oranuch Thai Dining is hands down my favorite restaurant in all of Thailand. From the very first visit, it completely won me over, and I’ll keep coming back again and again, even if it’s just for their unforgettable Penang curry.
The moment you walk in, you’re greeted with warmth and grace, often by the owner herself, which sets the tone for an experience that feels both personal and elevated. The atmosphere is inviting and intimate—elegant without being pretentious, and filled with the kind of charm that makes you feel at home while still knowing you’re in for something truly special.
Every dish is prepared with exceptional care and attention to detail. The flavors are deep, refined, and masterfully balanced. Nothing is rushed or ordinary—everything is made to perfection, and it shows. The Penang curry is a standout, rich and aromatic, with the kind of complexity that makes you pause between bites just to savor it. The cocktails are just as impressive—crafted with precision and creativity, each one feels like a piece of art in both taste and presentation.
Service is another highlight. The staff are attentive, gracious, and genuinely passionate about the food and the experience they deliver. It’s rare to find such consistency in both hospitality and cuisine.
Yes, it’s on the higher end, and you’ll spend a bit more—but every baht is well spent. You’re not just paying for a meal; you’re paying for a dining experience that lingers in your memory. Oranuch Thai Dining is a true gem, and I’ll never get tired of...
