Sometimes I Feel (SIF) Cafe Review
TLDR: ☕ You will appreciate SIF every time if you care about coffee and/or craftsmanship ☕ You will appreciate SIF sometimes if you wants a place to chat with friends (some comfy seat but limited) ☕ You will appreciate SIF once or twice if you came here for a photoshoot (as there is no need to shoot the same place twice), or not at all if you came here for constant attention (staff are polite but will bu occupied on busy days)

Context as customer: ☕ Was first introduced to SIF early 2023 ☕ I drink coffee on 2 occasions, for daily work and to enjoy coffee experience (SIF is my go to for the latter)
My cafe rating criteria I look at 4 aspects when visiting any cafe (100+ by now). ☕ a) Coffee quality - How and well they express experience through the beans selection and extraction (roasting, choice of blend) ☕ b) Drink design - How and well they express experience through the drinks ☕ c) Space design - How and well they express experience through the space ☕ d) Culture - How and well they express experience through theirs and their staff’s services
SIF rating I rate cafe based on 2 criteria ☕ i) Personality: 5/5 How align are the 4 aspects above The deeper the team know themselves, the more they ensure all 4 aspects talks to one another, thus the cafe has an integrated personality there are posh cafe where owner likely hired most expensive suppliers for all aspects but they don’t connect here SIF team maintain their integrity across all four. ☕ ii) Execution: 4.25/5 How well they execute the 4 aspects above a) Coffee quality: Fits for their drinks (I feel they design drinks first then find a fitting beans/roasters. Thus, limited variety of beans/blends vs pure coffee cupping (tasting) bar. 4/5 b) Drink design: Their strongest suite. And the team has never stop exploring and refining their drink. 5/5 c) Space design: Well reflected their point of view for coffee and life, but possibility limited by their building size and scale as a boutique cafe. 4/5 d) Culture: SIF long serving team reflects more of an apprenticeship rather than a boss-employee dynamic. A team of a few people focusing on making the drink correctly can be slow during...

It's a small place, more like a place opened in your home.
Drinks are OKAY. Tried Cha Thai Yen, and next day Ice Chocolate (best selling one, can't remember name). They are slightly salty and different, which in a good way was nice for a change. Portions are again ok and like how they put 3 big ice cubes.
No Credit Card payment option which is a big disappointment. Keep that option and ask customers if they want to pay a little extra on the interest. Having an option is always better than saying No.
There is only 2 to 3 motorcycle parking space and no car parking. If you planning on coming here then get on a motorcycle.
Lastly, on the second day i was waiting with my car parked right in the front, waiting for the drink and there was this lady who honked and shouted me to park ahead. So i told her that i am waiting for the drink and so she can go ahead. She immediately said sorry and honked again for someone to come from inside the store.
My point is, I don't care who you are, just open the window and ask politely if we are waiting for something or could we please move ahead so you could drop your stuff. Just be humble.

Read moreNice place and they seem to care about coffee but very overpriced. I had a small flat white (120-150 depending on what beans you use). It was unfortunately barely warm even though served in a double walled glass cup. The flavor was also quite weak. I have the Brazil beans (+10) which are mild but I did not expect so little flavor. I had hoped for a lot more for 130 in both flavor, serving temperature and size.
Follow up: I got a nice reply from the shop which shows they really do care about their coffee. I am sure you will be pleased with the place. I did select the Brazilian beans because they have a fruitier flavor, but I did not tast e much of the coffee. Generally a flat white provides a little more coffee flavor than a latte or a cappuccino. As for the temperature, it could not have been more than 45 degrees when it reached me. I will try again. I bumped the rating a star because they really do care, but stand...
