Jen Bar and Restaurant — Restaurant in Krabi Province

What a disappointment! We are visiting Railay Beach once every 2 years. This has been our favourite goto restaurant in here. But the most recent visit was shocking. Terrible staff, rather watching TV or smoking at the corner than being attentive. Our order was messed up several times - drinks arrived one by one and they always had to ask what was the other one we ordered. And the food? Oh my. First of all, the dishes arrived one by one again. After two of us finished their meals, the other two were still waiting. When we asked, they had no clue there are other meals to come. When the dishes finally arrived, no apology was given. The Pad Thai (the classic one) was almost tasteless. Actually, one of the worst I have ever had in Thailand. There was not a single point of failure, as the numbers of tourists grow, they just completely gave up on providing a good service and became a classic tourist cashbox. This was the last visit for us. Oh and the portions are much smaller than you would expect. Advice for everyone...

Just don't bother. The main positive I have is that the performers were great and really lovely people. The staff were not attentive and it seemed even us asking for the bill was an inconvenience for them. They get the food from Railay Cuisine across the street and it is really terrible. I had Chicken Tom Yam and it was disgusting, and so was my partners green curry (the worst we’d had in our two months of travelling). We both felt ill for two days after with stomach issues. And we also saw a rat upstairs!😃Such a shame as the place looks so cool and is decked out nice, but trust me...

Food was strictly okay. Portions sucked. Most unauthentic Thai food ever! The wait staff are incompetent street kids with no training whatsoever. We had to ask for our rice multiple times and also had to ask for a plate to eat. Honestly they are just urchins that are sloppy and unclean and serving mediocre Thai food. Also while leaving we noticed how they keep making jibes at us paying customers. The rudeness is unbearable. Racist and uncouth staff. And it was hot as the inferno in there. And the restroom area smells worse than a fist market. Everything...
