The staff at this restaurant were so friendly and accommodating. They spoke good English which made it easy to be understood (this was not the case at most of the restaurants in Railay.) I had a wonderful fresh watermelon "shake" that really was just blended ice and watermelon, perfectly refreshing and not too sweet, and no seeds to choke on like some other places I've ordered the same drink. The food we ate was really good, though my companion who spends a lot of time in India felt it was "average." However, we both agreed that the garlic Naan was fresh and delicious, and the food was good and filling. She had been craving Indian food and this hit the spot. We had palak paneer (lovely chunks of cheese swimming in a puree of lightly spiced spinach) and a chicken dish with a dal sauce (can't remember the name of it but it was very good.) Neither dish was too spicy but both were very flavorful and rich. White rice and the naan were a perfect compliment. If I ever go back to Railay I will definitely visit again for the low prices, good service and good food. I give it four stars because it was an open air restaurant and it's orientation did not allow it to catch the breeze. Even with a fan, it was too hot in the middle...
Read moreWe visited this restaurant from Japan. We were in a very difficult situation, but the manager of this restaurant was very kind and helped us. We are sincerely grateful. I think the taste of the food in this restaurant is also suitable for Japanese tastes. The staff is also very kind. We hope you will visit this restaurant.
To the restaurant staff You may not remember us, but as a token of our gratitude for that time, we introduced your restaurant in our Youtube video introducing our trip to our friends. Due to Google regulations, I am not able to post the address of the Youtube video, but if you search for "Krabi in Thailand #3" and you see Chan-Beer and a stuffed cat & goat in the upper right corner of the thumbnail, that's our Youtube video. Our Youtube video was recently published and does not have many views. If you have time, I would be happy if you could take a look(at about the 4 minutes and 30 seconds mark). And, if any of my friends or Japanese visit your restaurant, I would appreciate it if you could be kind to them. We hope to visit your restaurant again someday. Thank...
Read moreMy boyfriend and I have been here for almost every meal so far during our stay in Railay. We have tried three other places, all "thai", and were wishing we had just went to the Indian restaurant with only having the first bites of the others. We haven't tried all the restaurants in Railay, but we really just don't even want to risk trying anything else at this point because the Indian food has been extremely tasty 10/10! Didn't expect to find really good Indian food in a place that has their products delivered via longboat. Like fresh homemade paneer, smoking hot fresh garlic naan, tikka masala, butter chicken, really good pizza and more. What surprised me the most about Kohinoor and Railay in general was that I could find such good Indian food with super friendly, attentive, shockingly quick service staff on a place you have to take a long boat to, and on the same street in Railay, have the worst thai food and service we've ever had. Still looking foward to one or two more meals at Kohinoor, there is a huge menu and we haven't...
