The most amazing and beautiful beach I've been to, ever!
And the best part is no long dangerous boat ride to an island is necessary, it's right on the mainland.
Just a short boat ride from Ao Nang beach (B200, roundtrip per person) after waiting a few minutes for the Captain to get a boatload, which takes you to Railey Beach.
Railey is a nice big beach with lots of restaurants, bars and beach oriented shops on the main walk (you can even get shrooms, beer, weed and brownies). I got a brownie and a coconut water which is my favorite.
But keep on walking down the path, making a few right turns, maybe 15 minutes until you get to Pra Nang Cave Beach. You won't be disappointed!
Amazing sugar sand!
Right next to cliffs, so you can sit in the shade if you prefer!
Lots of beautiful young people, mostly Farang, lots of kids. Even saw one family with a stroller, so that's an option.
We brought our almost 3 year old and he loved playing in the sand with his beach toys we bought in Ao Nang.
Definitely the highlight of our Christmas/New Year vacation this year in Thailand.
Highly recommend. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
But please PACK OUT YOUR TRASH AND RESPECT THIS BEAUTIFUL...
Read morePhra Nang Cave Beach is truly a slice of paradise and one of the most breathtaking spots in Krabi. The crystal-clear turquoise waters, soft white sand, and dramatic limestone cliffs make it a picture-perfect destination. The famous cave with its unique cultural offerings adds a touch of intrigue and local tradition, making the visit not only visually stunning but also culturally enriching.
The beach is best enjoyed if you stay in Railay and visit either early in the morning or during sunset. During these times, the beach is much less crowded, allowing you to fully take in its serene beauty and peaceful vibe. The sunrise paints the cliffs with a golden glow, while the sunset creates a magical, almost surreal atmosphere.
The water is perfect for a swim, and the nearby cliffs make for great photo opportunities. If you’re adventurous, you can even explore the caves or enjoy some kayaking. Despite being a popular spot, the natural beauty and charm of Phra Nang remain unparalleled.
Highly recommended for anyone visiting Krabi! Just avoid peak hours to experience the tranquility and charm of this incredible beach. A must-visit destination for...
Read moreIt's a one visit only tick it off the travel list destination because while the view is stunning there are just too many people. Not much shade and if you arrive at high tide you'll have to walk in water to reach the largest sand area - it's knee deep and worth it. High tide is the best water quality. I saw the tide go out which bought out the beautiful aqua colours and more sand. Swimming out to the limestone karst is easy. You can also hire a kayak for 300 baht per hour. I got a deal because I know the price is inflated for tourists. The day would've been even better if a Russian couple didn't park their butts so close to me they were almost on my beach towel. This is how busy it can get. The next time someone camps that close to me on the beach, it'll be 200 baht charge thanks very much. With so many islands to choose from in Thailand I have no idea why anyone would stay in the area - you'll get no peace from an endless stream of tourist...
