Ambience: Taj Palace offers an inviting, warm atmosphere, decorated with rich wooden accents and traditional Indian art. The soft lighting, combined with the gentle hum of Indian music playing in the background, creates a cozy and welcoming environment. The space is slightly dimmed, adding to the intimate feel, but not so much that it’s hard to read the menu.

Service: The service is impeccable at Taj Palace. The waitstaff is attentive without being overbearing, always ready to provide recommendations or explain any unfamiliar ingredients. They seem genuinely passionate about the food, which enhances the overall experience. The time between ordering and receiving the food was just right—fast enough to enjoy a drink but not too rushed to make you feel uncomfortable.

Food: Taj palace offers diverse menu filled with classic Indian dishes and some lesser-known regional specialties, with dishes that range from classic Thai comfort food to more adventurous offeringsto European cuisines. Day 1: We began with starters which had the perfect balance of spice and crunch. For the main course, I opted for the Butter Chicken—the creamy, slightly tangy sauce paired perfectly with tender chicken pieces. The Naan was soft and warm, perfect for dipping into the curry. The Saag Paneer (spinach and cottage cheese curry) was rich in flavor, with a deep earthy taste, and the Basmati Rice was fragrant and fluffy.

What stood out was the Mutton curry was so tender, and the sauce, rich and aromatic, blended beautifully with the spices. The Mango Lassi was a refreshing and sweet complement to the spices. The portion sizes were generous, making it a great place to enjoy family-style meals.

Day 2 : We started with the Tom Yum Soup, which had a perfect balance of heat, sourness, and umami, with plump shrimp and fragrant lemongrass. For the main course, I went with the Pad Thai—a classic, and it did not disappoint. The noodles were perfectly stir-fried, with a delicious mix of peanuts, tofu, and a sweet-spicy sauce that had a hint of lime. The Green Curry was a highlight, creamy yet bold, with tender pieces of chicken and an abundance of vegetables, all spiced to perfection. I paired it with Jasmine Rice, which was light and fluffy, providing a great contrast to the intense flavors...

We had been craving some Indian/desi food and came across this restaurant while walking along beach road. They had a bundle offer which attracted us and we went in. The manager and host were very welcoming, while the manager came to take out order with us and was very polite throughout. Also because we both spoke Hindi/Urdu it was a lot easier to communicate with the staff and manager. He even asked us the level of spice we would like our food, so that was a nice bonus. The deal included 1 butter chicken, 1 garlic naan, 1 serving of steam rice and a coke and all of this was for 350 BHT. Which in my opinion is a very good deal, considering their regular prices were 250 - 300 per main dish, not including naan or rice. We ordered an extra plain paratha as well for the kids and a coke. The food was very delicious nonetheless, butter chicken was as it should be not too spicy with a little hint of sweetness, the naan was soft as it should be, safe to say the food was very nice. Not to mention everything was freshly made and hot, came within 20 mins of ordering.

Our total bill was under 500 BHT and our whole family was fed (me, wife + 2kids 1y &6yr). Recommended place for your desi food needs.

They had 2 separate menus for Thai and Indian cuisine as they served both. however we didn't try any Thai food, therefore I cannot...

We recently dined at Tah Palace and overall had a pleasant experience with a few notes for improvement. lordered the Chicken Tikka Masala, which tasted morelike a Butter Chicken in my opinion- rich, creamy, and mildly spiced. Stllenjoyable, just not quite what1 expected. My partner had the Penne Pasta with Mushroom, which was nicely cooked and had good layour, though we both agreed it could have done with a bit more garlic to really bring it to life. Our friends shared a Hawaiian Pizza with Garlic Bread. They said the pizza was tasty, with a good base and topping balance. However, the garlic bread was a little dry - a suggestion might be to serve it as a full baguette with more butter, but that's just their personal preference. For dessert, we tried a few things. The Chocolate Ice Cream was classic and enjoyable. The Fried Ice Cream was a novelty and had a nice texture, but we found the batter a bit too salty, which slightly overpowered the sweetness. The highlight for me was the Mango Sticky Rice with Warm Coconut Milk- it was extremely nice, comforting and well-balanced. However, the lettuce base it was served on was unexpected and didn't quite fithe dish for me. Service was friendly and the setting was relaxed. We'd consider returning, especially if a few of those minor details were fine-tuned.

The only reason you shouldn't visit an Indian restaurant in any foreign country. They will take advantage of the lack of "eatable" food and will serve you anything in the name of food and charge you an exorbitant amount of money. Please refer to the image of French fries (attached) packed by them. Quality was ok but quantity was horrible for the cost charged!!! (120 TBH= 276INR). The Mayo packed wasn't complimentary, we had to ask them for it. My suggestion is that while you are in thailand instead to throbbing for Indian restaurant you should hit 7/11 which have plenty of veg/nonveg options apart from McDonald's/kfc.Further in krabi, just 200 mtrs ahead of this outlet you can find tasty street fast food at reasonable price.
