With all the positive reviews I was seriously expecting more! I hope that over the years I haven't eaten so much Thai food that everything tastes just average because every restaurant in Ao Nang we have tried so far is just that, average.
As soon as you look in you will only see a few tables to sit at but dont worry there are plenty of seats at the back. All seats are pretty much the same as most of the restaurants, hard wood chairs and tables. The area is kept clean compared to a lot of the other small restaurants.
A fair sized menu of thai favourites with not many choices for vegetarians which was a bit annoying as the restaurant description says vegetarian friendly, probably meaning you can order vegetarian dishes. I took the fried mushroom dish, my girlfriend took the fish Tom yum and her daughter took the Tom jud moo saab. All dishes were ok and edible, nothing special, just ok. The food is also cooked more to westerners taste of not being spicy, my girlfriend ordered ped ped (really spicy) but the soup was not spicy indicating that they are cooking more to westerners taste rather than a Thai taste. It's one of those places where if you are on holiday the food can taste really good but I'm pretty sure for travellers who have eaten a lot of Thailand food this will seem just average.
Service and all staff are super friendly, helpful and speak good English!
It's an ok place to have a meal and for a fried mushroom dish, Tom yum, Tom jud, a watermelon shake, ginger beer and a water expect to...
Read moreTravelling from Toronto, Canada. I’m a well experienced eater and I have travelled all over the world. Amazing Thai spot. Found it randomly . I wish I found it sooner . Best Thai food I had so far. Me and my wife got 4 mains that’s because we are foodies and like to try variety of things and I eat like a pig when I’m hungry lol. Tom yum shrimp soup , green curry beef , chicken fried rice , sweet and sour fried chicken. All was amazing. Good quality chicken and beef. Great portions compared to other spots , very flavourful. this spot was legit compared to other places in Krabi or throughout Thailand - there are small portioned or just tourist traps that serve you what ever garage or low quality meat. I was very happy!! My bill was 660baht that’s for 4 mains and a coke. So 18usd for 4 mains and a drink between 2...
Read moreThis is my favourite restaurant in Krabi. I have been coming here multiple meals per visit and love it. The staff is very friendly and attentive. Female run with an excellent chef. Huge portions of food. They are happy to make vegetarian food even though its not mentioned on the menu. Most importantly they understand when I mention that I dont want any fish sauce or shrimp paste. They remember to ask if egg is ok, and if tofu is fine.
