(Update on review ) Phone number does not work. And website doesn’t work ! -.
Update: We go there because it was impossible to call them. And the website also not working .
And they asked if we had booked a table and I told them the phone number doesn’t work and they just smile and told me it was broken .
And then there is no menu . So every time we need to order something, we need to scan a code on the table .
And we even need to fill in our email and name and everything to make a payment online 🤯 .
Super annoying! - and the first 30 minutes when we arrived, we need to waste our time on the phone 📱 to try to order and nothing works! No phone service and no WiFi and only scan menu 😤
We couldn’t even enjoy the sunset because we were stuck on the phone trying to fill in information to place the order !
And every time after this we try to order more drinks we need to fill in the same information again and again and waste our time on the phone 📱 .
Who is even managing this? Why is the manager of this place making this so difficult and annoying?
Then in the end, we managed to order from the staff because the Wi-Fi didn’t work and there is no phone connection at the top of this place. (We all live here in Bangkok) But True has no mobile connection up there and our phones were not with connection to use 5G / 4G and use the menu online.
So when we were supposed to pay , I gave them my card then I needed to stand up and walk all the way to the other side of the bar to put in my pin number
And orders that we placed directly from the staff and could not pay online we’re supposed to be paid at the bar , and they don’t even have card machine with 4g connection They only have a old style card machine who is wired to the bar
Why don’t you get more card machines so people can pay in their seat?
I think the management of this place need to step up their game .
Also … there is no food menu Only 5-6 items We came to eat and there was nothing on the menu.
It would be great to add good food menu and they can sell a lot for sure
But the view on this place is amazing and the design is really cool
I just think the management needs to be changed or at least they need to fix many things about the payment system and other stuff there
Also, the elevator girl when we were leaving was just playing on her phone 📱 all the time scrolling social media or something and was too busy to press the button or interested to answering questions as she was glued to her phone and and looking at her screen constantly. (We wanted to ask about directions and stuff from the building) But she was too busy scrolling her phone. It’s unprofessional when the staff is using their phones instead or engaging with customers.
Just my feedback and I don’t think we will...
Read moreI was quite disappointed to visit this rooftop bar, I was so looking forward to it and expected a lot because I heard good things about it. There were 3 of us and once we arrived, we were told to buy a ticket of 1000 baht if we don't have a reservation but the ticket can be used as a voucher to spend on food and drinks and minimum spend is 1,000 baht anyway with reservation, so we thought it was ok. We wanted to sit by the view and that's 6000 baht minimum spend per table so it's 2,000 baht for 3 of us, fine! My friend was visiting and he's willing to pay for the best view. Then we looked at the menu, the staff were nice and friendly, but I don't think they have been well trained in providing services like other upscale rooftop or cocktail bars. They didn't try to present the signature drinks and even when we asked about it, it doesn't sound like we should try it. The standard drink menu is very limited, I expected the cocktails in this price range 500 -700 ++ to be very special and come with some sort of experience but there was no such thing. The only drink that wowed us was the scorpion decoration but other than that everything looks cheap as if they don't care to invest in hiring specialist to help with creating the menu or presentation of the drinks. Everything looks plain like they just googled and copy it. Presentation was poor, the glasses for cocktails were super basic like home used version, I have much better cocktail glasses at home and I barely drink at home. They should at least visit other fancy cocktail bars and see what the standard is like. They don't invest in the details of each drink, fruit or cucumber slide were badly cut and put in the drink. A big block of ice was put in my friend's Hendrik and tonic glass, it barely had room left for the real drink, if you take out the ice, the drink itself probably takes less than 15% of the glass. It was really really bad, and they didn't taste good either. Overall, this place only has good view, but the settings don't really help much, there is not really a great spot that you can take photos that can capture the great view.
I also didn't enjoy the music, it doesn't go with the vibe, old hip-hop remix like those after party places just doesn't do it for me but this is personal preference, so I won't say much.
This made me feel like they only care to attract tourists visiting the city who will likely come for one time so they don't care much about the experience as long as they have the view.
I really hope that they will invest more in all areas to provide better experience for...
Read moreReview for Akara Sky Hanuman Bangkok
Akara Sky Hanuman is undeniably one of the rooftop bars to check out in Bangkok. I arrived just before sunset and was captivated by the stunning views of the city. The transition from daylight to the sparkling city lights was mesmerizing, creating an enchanting atmosphere complemented by great drinks, music, and a lively vibe. The Thai performance added a beautiful and entertaining cultural touch, and I noticed many groups celebrating birthdays, which speaks to the venue’s appeal for special occasions.
Once we were at the rooftop, the service was fantastic—attentive, friendly, and efficient. The staff ensured we had everything we needed and made the experience more enjoyable.
That said, the entry process left much to be desired. My group of four arrived around 5 PM, which I considered early, but we were told the bar was full. The only option given was to take a table with a minimum spend of 8,000 baht, which I agreed to. Oddly, after agreeing, we were suddenly allowed to enter. Upon reaching the rooftop, I noticed several empty tables, raising questions about how patrons are being screened.
To add to the confusion, the table we were supposed to get (with the minimum spend) was not available, so we were seated at a middle table with no minimum spend instead. Ironically, this table turned out to be perfect for us. Later, the staff informed us that the minimum spend table was now available and asked if we wanted to move and we kindly declined.
We stayed from 5 PM to 10 PM and noticed open tables throughout the evening, leaving me puzzled as to why we weren’t let in initially without the hassle.
Overall, while the view, atmosphere, and service at the rooftop were top-notch, the lack of coordination and unclear entry process dampened the experience. This could easily have been a 4- or 5-star review, but I’m giving it 3 stars due to these issues. Hopefully, the management can refine their procedures to ensure a smoother experience for...
