Sà-wàt-dii, I chose this hotel based on its location because I’m a light sleeper, and its lack of proximity to major highways made me think it would be relatively quiet. I also notified the checkin attendant that I was a light sleeper, and that I had heard the rooftop restaurant played music until 0200 hrs, so I did not want a room near the restaurant. Check-in staff were very receptive and accommodating. We got a great room on the 25th floor.
My wife and I stayed here for five-nights. We absolutely cherished every minute of it. I knew we would arrive late into the early morning 0200 hrs, so I wrote the hotel to inform them. The tone of the manager’s response set the stage for a wonderful stay. The manager provided a thorough response within a couple hours of me sending the email. The response acknowledged that they understood we would be very late to check in. It also laid out everything we needed to know about our stay, making checking in smoother. This is the first hotel I’ve ever stayed in that acknowledged my stay preference directly. Sure, I could see in the IHG app that my room had already been upgraded, and the manager’s email to me acknowledge my Diamond status, but the check-in agent actually walked me through my stay preference. He acknowledged that the room had already been upgraded, and that staff had placed us on a high floor, away from elevators and stairways - as my stay preferences indicate. This hotel provided the best check-in experience of my life. Every single member of the hotel staff was so warm and welcoming. We received genuine smiles and a generous wāi every time we encountered a staff member. The consideration was unparalleled. Concierge services came through on more than one occasion: wether it was to book reservations for a show, to cancel reservations for dinner, or to get basic items delivered to our room - shoe sponge, sewing kit, etc. - the concierge executed flawlessly. The buffet breakfast at the hotel was splendid. The hotel offers longer hours than breakfasts at other hotels - breakfast is available until 1100 hrs. Breakfast was so good that I can only recall my wife and I eating out on a couple other occasions. We usually just stopped at the store nearby to pick up tropical fruit. The buffet offers an immense selection of food from a variety of cultures, each situated at independent stations with a unique cultural theme. The restaurant gets busy between 0830 - 1030 but I never felt rushed. I think all the patrons are so at ease with the accommodations, and happy about the food variety that everyone just seems to flow together in harmony. The rooftop restaurant, also provided exceptional service and entertainment. My wife and I enjoyed drinks at the bar our first visit. The bartenders were so much fun, the view so exceptional, and the DJ’s set so mesmerizing that we had to go back for a proper dinner. Note that the roof top restaurant automatically charges a service fee, along with a VAT on every ticket. Do yourself a favor and get up there to at least have a drink. The infinity pool is just like in the pictures. We enjoyed beautiful sunrises, as well as interesting night views. Last call at the poolside bar is 2200, and the pool closes at 2230. One thing the hotel does not seem to promote in its advertisements is the fact that it has saunas - one in each gender’s pool shower area. Management, if you’re reading this, I encourage you to promote Sindhorn’s saunas. I was pleasantly surprised when I stumbled upon it my second day. Unfortunately, there is no whirlpool. All in all, I was very pleased with the workout and pool amenities. The gym is right above the pool, so you can admire the city skyline, or admire the infinity pool while working out. Our room had everything we could ask for, including a washer/dryer. We packed light so it was nice to have an outlet to clean clothes during our stay. Just ask the concierge or lobby staff for laundry detergent, and it’ll be provided free of charge. Each successive evening we came back to our room, after a day of outings, our room felt more and more cozy. It truly felt like home away from home. My wife is scent sensitive. However, she enjoyed the ever-so-light scent that imbued the room. It was like the perfect spa scent. The linens were scent free and she even tolerated the laundry detergent well. A few minor thing that could have made the experience a bit more seamless: First, I already mentioned the steam sauna. Check-in staff, please let guest know about this great amenity, as I’m sure many will enjoy it. Second, the water in the shower could be a bit hotter. I mentioned I lamented the property doesn’t have a hot tub. The water in the sink could be adjusted to a scolding hot setting; however, the shower water temperature only reached a hot temperature. I just enjoy longer hotter showers. Finally, make sure the concierge informs guests that someone will be waiting at the theater to greet them and give them their show tickets. We arrived to the theater about 30 minutes early and were trying to track down our theater tickets at reception with the theater staff for a few minutes. Eventually, we casually glanced back to see a sign with our name on it being held by a couple hotel agents whom were there to greet us. Khàawp khun krab to all the hotel staff for making our experience...
Read moreOur stay at Sindhorn was a pleasant experience overall, and I can confidently recommend it for anyone visiting Bangkok. The hotel is undeniably clean and feels new, with a modern and tasteful decor that creates a welcoming atmosphere. The rooftop pool and bar are standout features, providing a cool view of the city that’s particularly enjoyable in the evening, especially if you’re looking to relax with a drink. One of the highlights of our stay was the breakfast; it was delicious with a wide variety of options that made it easy to start each day on a positive note. The hotel is also quiet, which made it a great place to unwind and get some restful sleep. Service was friendly and accommodating throughout our stay, adding to the overall pleasant experience. There were a few aspects of our stay that could have been improved. One notable issue was that the pool water was much too cold, even in Bangkok’s usually hot weather, which meant we didn’t spend as much time enjoying it as we would have liked. We had booked a King Suite, which was comfortable and came with the added bonus of a washer-dryer combo, but we were unaware that it was in a smaller, separate building from the main hotel. This left us feeling a bit removed from the main amenities, requiring us to walk outside and cross over to the main building each time we wanted to access facilities like the breakfast area or the rooftop bar. While it wasn’t a major inconvenience, it’s something to be aware of. The elevator in our building also broke down during our stay, and we weren’t given any notice, which added a bit of frustration.Another consideration is that the hotel doesn’t proactively provide information about what’s available, so you may need to ask to fully take advantage of the amenities. Despite these minor issues, there’s a lot to love about this hotel. Having a 7-Eleven right downstairs was incredibly convenient, and the location is perfect for shopping enthusiasts, with fantastic malls a short walk or quick train ride away. Overall, Sindhorn is a solid choice for a quiet and comfortable stay with friendly service and excellent modern amenities, and I would recommend...
Read moreI have always been impressed with my stays here. This time was even more special as it was my birthday, but there were a few things that I was a bit disappointed about. When I checked in around 2:25 PM, the staff informed me that the room was not ready yet but they would expedite the process and have it ready by 3:00 PM. I understood that the hotel might have been full, so I waited and had a meal at the cafe. Around 3:08 PM, when I went to check in, the staff seemed a bit nervous, suggesting that the room might still not be ready. They quickly found me a new room. I was happy to get a room, but I was a bit disappointed that it was not on a high floor as I had requested when I booked. Thankfully, the view was beautiful. However, when I entered the room, there was a rather strong unpleasant smell, but it was bearable. The room service staff were incredibly friendly and remembered my name throughout my stay. Their service was so good that I felt a bit embarrassed. I would like to commend them for their excellent service.
Before checking out, I approached the reception late at night to request a late checkout. The staff checked and informed me that the hotel was fully booked and I would have to check out at the usual time of 12:00 PM. I was a bit disappointed that I didn't get the member benefit, but I understood that the hotel might have been truly full. At 9:00 AM on the checkout day, I asked the staff if I could check out at 1:00 PM as I didn't think I would be able to wake up and pack in time. They kindly agreed, and I am very grateful for their understanding. However, I would like to point out that whenever I request a late checkout from the night shift staff, I am always denied. I wonder if they check the guest's booking to see what type of member they are. Nevertheless, I understand.
Overall, I am very impressed with the staff's service here. They are friendly and attentive, and I would like to thank them for taking care of me...
