Honestly, my visit could have been better. I got to the cafe around 8am, and it wasn't too full. It was unclear whether our orders would be taken from the counter or from the table. I was there to get coffee beans and the order taker saud there's complimentary coffee with my beans. Cool. Promising. I added pain au chocolate to my order and was asked whether I want my bread warm. Naturally, yes. My coffee arrived but my pain au was taking its time. I couldn't drink coffee bcs I don't want it on an empty stomach. It arrived a good noticeable few minutes later in a takeout bag. I got confused bcs I wasn't even asked whether I will have it to go or to stay. No problem. They just transferred it on a plate. But to my surprise when I sliced it, it was not warmed. I asked them if they could warm it, they said they couldnt for sanitary reasons. I asked them why it was not warm when i asked them to do so earlier -- bcs they had asked. I was only given quizzical looks and no apologies. The Sarnies account responding here would probably apologize effusively, but I will take it as just lip service bcs what I experienced in their roastery was far from apologetic, and more a non reaction to their neglect. So, on the food: I had expensive dry pain au chocolate (a real pain, you could say), and, surprisingly, coffee that was just mid. Verdict: This was really disappointing for me bcs I do my research before deciding on coffee places to go for overseas trips -- this was, in fact, our 2nd beans purchase for them bcs I had asked my husband to get me beans from Sarnies when he visited Bangkok in 2024. Because coffee is my vice, I was looking forward to finally seeing their cafe on my trip. Sadly, my experience was such a letdown. Please do better to...
Read moreWell I’ve been to the other locations of Sarnies and I’ve never been to this one and I wanted to meet a new friend who just flew in from New York!
When her and I met we really liked the vibe of this place actually all of the Sarnies has a good vibe for breakfast and a good lunch!
I ordered the Turkish eggs 🍳 and I wanted the egg whites made sure they were cooked but the YOLK I wanted runny however yolks came out hard but I didn’t complain cause overall the taste was really good 😊 our server was super nice my friend ordered the Shakshukka eggs 🥚 which comes in tomato and then they put the eggs 🍳 on top (I can make these at home) I’d like the way they did them here as well! She also ordered the citrus 🍊 salad I think that’s what it was called on the menu and overall it was really good she couldn’t eat it with the funny thing is the server said are you sure you’re so tiny are you sure you’re gonna be able to eat everything and she said yeah and I told her if you can’t you can always take it home - which is exactly what she did!
I had the perfect portions for me and the coffee and we also ordered some water ! 💦
💦
So overall it was a really pleasant experience here in the area this is a really good place to pop in and have a breakfast or a really good lunch !
