What a lovely surprise. Passing by it looks like a bakery or cafe but in fact its a wonderful Italian eatery. They have another space in back for larger parties but up front there are just 3 tables seating about 9. The ambiance is ultra quaint trattoria. The owner is a lovely young woman Chonlada who first brought out some homemade breads. I ordered the porcini risotto which I enjoyed immensely. Coincidentally, there were 2 friendly gentlemen who were finishing their dinner who asked where I was visiting from. They both said they enjoy eating at this little gem often. They asked where I was staying and I told them The Duchess (aka Natural Ville Exec Residences), coincidentally one of them is the CEO/owner! He was very nice and welcomed me to Bangkok, raved about Per Te and the owner. While not my first visit to Bangkok, it is my first time to the Wireless area and it was a great start to my vacation, thanks to Per Te/Chonlada and "C" from The Duchess and his friend. Very...
Read moreWhat a wonderful find. I am here on vacation and was looking for a break from pork belly, and sat down to a lovely surprise. The calamari fritto was perfect. The batter was traditional, not Japanese tempura. My river prawns with pesto over linguine was impeccable. Light and well textured, simple and refined. I got duck ragu to go, which was also fantastic. The meal ended with a mango gelee, a bright finish to my dining experience. The dishes remained authentic with subtle Thai influences here and there, a stellar homage to European cuisine while showcasing local ingredients. If you want tons of cheese on everything and overcooked pasta, go elsewhere. If you want delicious homemade Italian served on bunny plates in a charmingly cute family environment, this place is worth every penny of their very affordable menu. (I have worked in fine dining for years, this is the only thing I actually know what I am talking...
Read moreThe staff/owners show that they care about the food they serve their customers, and they make everything themselves. We went for a Valentine's Day date, and we absolutely loved every moment in this restaurant. We were greeted kindly both by the owner and a cat. The atmosphere is warm, their plates and cutlery are cute, and the decorations give it a nice European feel. The French onion soup was really nice. The cesar salad was delicious and included prosciutto. My lasagna with lamb and tomato sauce included a generous amount of cheese. Our truffle ravioli was creamy and delicious. I hope you've made it this far because it needs to be mentioned: the apple crumble is to die for. It is honestly one of the best (if not the best) one you will ever have. If you are going for a date or just for a nice meal, you will absolutely not be...
