Maison Saigon — Restaurant in Lumphini Subdistrict

A Thai friend invited me to this restaurant. First of all, I’ve a bit doubt because a Vietnamese restaurant in Thailand that’s never served the correct taste. But I should to say sorry the owner and the chef, everything is excellent! A beautiful restaurant in an impressive area. The staff is very friendly. Every detail of decoration from coaster to interior or exterior look like an art gallery, even the dish. I tried Chả Cốm, Bánh Bèo - Bột Lọc - Chạo Tôm - Cơm Tấm - a recommend dish - coconut ice cream with banana cake. I definitely vote 20/10 points for all. The taste and flavor are balance, look nice as well! Even it’s better than some the best one in Vietnam. You must try Cơm Tấm - Chạo Tôm - the dish in my picture and their desserts! I love their beverage thoroughly! Palm juice dominated my date, I took two glasses. Another passion fruit juice, kumquat iced tea, Maison milk tea were enjoyed too. They add no sugar, just use honey but it doesn’t break major flavors. The singer performed very fabulous! Please let her know that she has a wonderful voice, too soft and pleasant! Love it! Terrible service. Food is pricey for a tiny portion. Bad experience. Don't come here. Details below.

1. We ordered 2 plates for kids, and specifically asked for no chilli. After 20 minutes, the foods came with chilli, so we had to wait another 15 mins for them to bring the right one.

2. From 1) above, The soup that separately came with the first pho with chilli is already cold, so we asked them to replace, and they say they would charge extra for the pho soup ! This is ridiculous!!

3. not sufficient kid utensils - even though we were the only table with kids. So they asked us to use plastic. We are paying 400+ a plate, this is not acceptable.

4. The food name is in vietnamese so we certainly didnt remember the names. Pho is pho to us. The waitress put 4 pho plates on the table and had no idea which belongs to whom, nor did we. Menu was being used by other tables so we had to wait and tried to figure out...

S/O to Benz! This restaurant has amazing food, is extremely refreshing, and has great drinks. When opening the menu you are greeted by a story of how this place came to be and it’s quite beautiful. There is something g significant about trying a restaurant’s delicious recipes while connecting to the origin of the story.

My partner and I visited twice in three days because the food is that memorable and the staff is incredibly kind and accommodating. Both times we were served by Benz. His service is absolutely outstanding. He communicates well, guides us through the menu suggesting the most delicious options we would’ve never thought to pick on our own, and was extremely kind. As we warmed up to one another more his bubbly personality shined and brought me so much joy!
