Totally unplanned find near our hotel, and it was amazing!! Very bright and cheerful atmosphere with variety of dishes.
Uni toast and white wine was a very very nice starter of the night, opening up our palate, and the amount of uni as well as the prawn beneath it was perfect with the cripsy brioche toast. This itself made us very excited to try the other dishes. The rubia tartar and french fries were another hit for us. The tartar was not drenched in sauce and still kept the nice beef taste and with the perfectly oozing quail egg and nicley fried fries. I honestly would have ordered another plate if I had a bigger stomach. I remember having Joselito ham somewhere and thought it is damn good so I just had to order - absolutely stunning as I remember... the flavour was so so so good... here, on the menu they even indicate "the best ham in the world" and I cannot agree more. Though Spanish croquet was one of their recommendation, it did not make much impression compared to the others. It was very nicely cooked though. Signature carpaccio prawn paella was realy covered with carpaccio, and went really well with the rice below. But personally I found the paella a bit too wet for my liking and gave me more of a risotto feel. If we had bigger stomach we would have wanted to try the meat as well since we could see how nicely it was grilled.
I read that it was better to book from one of the google review so I did (only accepts calls), and glad i did. It was a Sunday but the main counter seats facing the open kitchen was totally full at 5:30pm. We were also told that we had to move by 7pm upon booking. Though the place was really packed, all staff were really attentative and even if we were seated at the table behind the counter seats we were really very well taken care of - they will rush over when they realized our glass was about to be empty (not when its empty!).
Msuic is quite loud, but it somehow made the entire dining experience complete. Will...

Vaso Spanish Food stole our hearts (and stomachs) on a recent friend-gathering, making it a top contender for your next Bangkok outing. From the moment we walked in, the vibrant atmosphere and friendly staff (¡gracias, chicos!) transported us straight to a bustling tapas bar in Barcelona.
Food Glorious Food:
The tapas selection was a smorgasbord of flavor and freshness. We dove into melt-in-your-mouth Gambas al Ajillo, bursting with garlicky goodness, crispy Croquetas de Jamón that oozed creamy béchamel, and smoky Pulpo a la Plancha that was cooked to perfection. Each bite was a celebration of Spanish ingredients, prepared with passion and expertise.
Sharing is Caring:
The tapas concept was perfect for our group, allowing us to share and sample a variety of dishes. It was a delightful culinary journey, with every taste bud singing and conversation flowing like the sangria! Speaking of which, the sangria was a refreshing explosion of fruit and wine, the perfect accompaniment to our Spanish feast.
Mucho Más que Comida:
Vaso isn't just about the food (although that's enough to recommend it!), it's about the entire experience. The lively atmosphere was infectious, with upbeat music and laughter filling the air. The staff was attentive and helpful, offering recommendations and adding to the convivial ambiance.
¡Final Aplausos!
Vaso Spanish Food is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic Spanish cuisine and a vibrant night out in Bangkok. The fresh, delicious food, friendly staff, and contagious atmosphere make it a true gem. We left stuffed, satisfied, and already planning our next return. ¡Hasta pronto, Vaso!

Read moreIt was pretty terrible. We didn’t know we only had 2 hours seating … no one (that we know of) informed us at the time of booking or at the time when we arrived. (More importantly why should that even be an issue when we are enjoying the atmosphere and drinking).
We arrived at 6:00 which was our reservation time. By the one hour and a half into our seating (7:30) we ordered paella which the waiter said it will take 30 minutes to cook. So we said it was ok. We were willing to wait (why not when we were having a good time and drinking). We also ordered a bottle of wine. By 7.55 our paella came. After about 5 minutes into the eating the waiter came and told us we had to move to an outside table because there was another booking at 8. We said no one informed us that we only had 2 hours at the restaurant but they kept insisting that they told us the time that the restaurant had 2 hours seating and every one knew. (Even the manager came to insist on that) Conclusion: we have 2 choices. Either take our food to go or they will not put the beef on the bill (but the paella and the wine must be on the bill because we have already consumed it) So we told them to take the beef (we will not pay for it) and we will finish the rest of the wine in half an hour.
If you ask me, overall, we can find this kind of food (which was ok but not all that great) somewhere else in Bangkok pretty easily. So we left this place with a pretty terrible experience. As much as the manager keeps telling us that they make sure at the time of reservation that we only have 2 hours for each booking, it didn’t really come across us til we got kicked out. Sorry. But Vaso will not be in our list of restaurants to ever go back again…. We might even kill Isola for...
