Bisou – Refined, Intimate, and Full of Surprises
Tucked away at the very end of a small Soi across from Valee, Bisou offers a beautifully curated French dining experience. From the interior design to the service concept, everything here reflects thoughtful elegance. The Dining Experience
I can't recall the names of every dish I ordered, but each course impressed me.
Here's what stood out 🍞 Complimentary Bread & Butter (Pre-Starter) The meal started with warm bread and an artistic serving of butter. The butter was brought out in a large slab, and the waiter carefully carved it into a swirl with a spoon while sharing a charming little story behind it. A lovely touch that set the tone.
First Course: Rare Beef Starter At first glance, the beef looked too rare for my comfort. But once I took a bite, the flavors changed my mind completely. The beef was tender and beautifully balanced with a fresh, tangy sauce that made the dish surprisingly easy to enjoy.
Second course: Risotto with Foie Gras If I remember it all correctly, this rich and flavorful risotto came with foie gras. It was indulgent but not overwhelming, one of my favorite dishes of the night.
Third course: Truffle Main Course The final savory course featured truffle, and the aroma alone was irresistible. I cleaned the plate with joy. My friend, however, felt the dish was a little too greasy, so it may vary based on personal preference.
Fouth course: Cherry-Inspired Dessert A delightful blend of textures and flavors: sweet cream and airy meringue paired with the tartness of cherry. It was perfectly balanced—not too sweet, with a refreshing finish.
Sweet Ending Before the bill, we were served two complimentary items: a lemon macaron and a small glass of Limoncello. A perfect, zesty end to a great meal.
Drinks I asked for a strong and sweet cocktail, didn’t catch the name, but it delivered exactly what I was hoping for.
Vibe Check This is a place to bring friends who appreciate nightlife, ambiance, and thoughtful plating. The mood is intimate but upbeat—perfect for those who enjoy long conversations over cocktails and multi-course meals.
Travel Tips The small Soi where the restaurant is located is quite narrow. I’d recommend parking at Valee and walking a short distance to Bisou. It’s more convenient than trying to drive...
Read moreMy recent visit to Bisou in Bangkok was nothing short of exceptional, a true treat for the senses from start to finish. We kicked off the evening with the Champs-Élysées champagne cocktail as an aperitif, and it was an absolute delight—light, effervescent, and perfectly balanced, setting the tone for what was to come. Our waitress, Bank, soon arrived with a basket of warm, crusty bread paired with their signature French butter, which was rich, creamy, and utterly irresistible.
For starters, we indulged in some of Bisou’s signature bites, and I can’t rave about them enough. The French toast with black truffle was a revelation—savory, aromatic, and so delicious I could have happily eaten dozens. The potato millefeuille, topped with wagyu tartare and a dollop of caviar, was equally divine, each bite a luxurious harmony of textures and flavors. We also tried the crab French toast from their weekly specials, which was a standout with its delicate sweetness and crisp finish. The truffle pasta that followed was fragrant and perfectly executed, leaving us eager for the main course.
For our entrée, we opted for the wagyu hanger steak, served alongside bone marrow and grilled asparagus with a side of velvety mashed potatoes. The steak was cooked to perfection, tender and juicy, with the marrow adding an indulgent richness that paired beautifully with the fresh, charred asparagus. Every dish showcased the kitchen’s skill and attention to detail. The service was impeccable throughout. Our waiter, Game, and waitress, Bank, were attentive and professional, ensuring our glasses of wine and sparkling water were always topped up without us ever needing to ask. Their warmth and efficiency elevated the entire experience.
